Thank you! Our washer has been banging around and sliding across the floor since day one. I thought we bought a refurbished/broken washer from Lowe’s. After watching the video out of frustration I took it apart and there were no springs. I went to Lowe’s and bought 2.5 inch,5lb springs and it’s fixed. This washer was banging so bad with nothing more than a dish rag in the tub.

I appreciate this video! My mom‘s washing machine has been doing this and I was thinking it was the suspension rods that are toast. But it doesn’t seem bouncy when you push it down but it shakes now I’m wondering if it’s those springs that you just showed took a crap. Ironically, out of every video, I’ve watched you were the only person that showed these. Not one other person has shown it they all say that it’s the rods. No one’s mentioned the springs at all!

If the load and balance springs have been changed, then the shaft bearing is bad. That is not an easy replaceable part. complete disassembly of the machine is required

Hmmm….I just got a new whirlpool Machine (December 2023) and the tub does bump against the sides a few times when the spin cycle begins. When it speeds up it centers itself.
