What gear do I bring for rope solo ice climbing? It's a lot and maybe you don't need that much. But for this tour I brought this kit. All in all it is slightly over 24,2kg. But that's also because of ~2 liters of tea and the 60m rope and all the kit I have to carry myself.
When climbing with a partner you can split the weight. But when you are rope soloing, you will have to carry it all by yourself.
I added some fotage from my latest trip to italy. There I did a easy WI3 multi pitch climb. Crossing snow and climbing ice. It was fun and the weight was okay.

Thank you for mentioning your mesh base layer. I just learned about this type of mesh long underwear and I’m really intrigued as they sound like they function in an amazing way. I need to get some to try out.
Die Nineteen G Expressen hab ich schon seit einigen Jahren beim Sportklettern und Rissklettern im Einsatz und bin voll überzeugt von denen. Ich muss mir bloß immer die blöden Kommentare der andern anhören :D "Babyexen, Einwegexen, Playmobilexen, Spielzeugexen, Kinderexen, Scheißexen..." xD

funny to see petzl ascension handle cut, I was thinking about doing this mod for a long time, but someone gave me an old version petzl basic..

Cool to see someone who immediately understands the reason 😁 Yeah... the only issue I am not sure about is, that now it can rotate through the carabiner. But I think this should not be a problem.

BTW - there's Climbing Technology Simple+ that has two slots.
Habe am Wochenende was Neues im erste Hilfe-Set gesehen: Suche mal nach "Israeli bandage" Das ist hervorragend geeignet, wenn man sich beim Eisklettern das Dart in den Schenkel rammt...

Kenne ich sogar und hab ich in fast jedem erste Hilfe set. Aber stimmt, wäre eine sinnvolle Ergänzung auch beim eisklettern. Danke 🙏🏻
It is better if you don't cover the rod on your tourniquet with the white tab, it's best to leave that channel uncovered for faster access. Thanks for the video!
