@@mikkosnellman - I was only joking, I understood what you meant, I searched on the Internet and found braided ropes was used ~6.000 years ago so perhaps we have used it for ~10.000 years?

@@doncarlodivargas5497 So far the oldest piece of man made cordage found is about 40 000 years old. We will never know for sure but for me, rope is the oldest invention mankind has made.
