fwiw if your banking app fails you should still be able to access your bank and functions through a browser on your phone. It's not as convenient but should still be functional.

Some apps detect that your bootloader is unlocked, though. So magisk hide and a module like hide props config are the only way to use some apps with an unlocked bootloader.

I use root to be able to record my calls ..something Google wrongly took off us. Great video Max..

Like who in their right mind, that knows anything about custom roms would run a phone without one, and once you got your custom ROM installed and you like what you've got, you can always uninstall root, me I'll keep access, because root also enables you to run applications that you could not run otherwise, awesome video, stay high on Android.

I am still surprised today how many people stick to manufacturers ROMs....great vid as always max

I had miui cause I was afraid of bricking my phone but goddamn, pixel rom made it feel like a new phone

only issue is that some custom roms won't pass safety net, which requires root to pass safety net to use banking apps

I use Custom Rom on my Galaxy Note 9 Exynos with Magisk root and like how I can still have the same stock apps experience except I can choose which ones to install. I am still spoofing in Pokemon Go ever since you made that video a long time ago. The spoofing method has changed and is now called Smali Patcher.

Yeah LG is not well supported with LineageOS or any AOSP roms. Manufacturers have changed the original code too much, that's why I stick with pure Android stuff more nowadays.

Hi max. What do you think about the new dimensity chips? They are a greate value for what they can perform but the only thing iam worried about is that with mediatek it will be hard to get custom roms... and GSI usually have a lot of bugs for daily usability. Anyways Thumbs Up!

Custom roms rn could run banking apps as long as safety net passes which most of roms does. Rooting could make banking apps not working bcs it will make the banking apps not working but there are some workarounds especially now with zygisk stuff

Not possible on smartphones, they come with fixed amount of ram that's why.

Get this, my 5 year old mi mix 1 (bought in 2018) with pixel experience gets 5-6 hours of sot. On that 5 year old battery. I'm sure I could push it to 8 hours of sot if I put a new battery. That makes my phone run cool, faster and last longer. Custom roms are lit.

If you can unlock the bootloader there are a few very good gsi you can install.
