The Camino de las Raíces is a trail included in the project of the Provincial Council of Salamanca, Paths of Art in Nature that tries to publicize the towns and the monumental and natural heritage of the Sierra de Francia.
As incentives to the route, a series of works of art have been added that invite reflection and the use of the imagination.

The roots trail starts from the picturesque town of La Alberca, a town declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1940 for the conservation of its traditional architecture resulting from the passage of three cultures: Christian, Islamic and Judaic.
