How to Quickly Color Gray Roots and Regrowth When Lightening Hair 2023 with Eva Lorman
Gray hair can be resistant to coloring, but there are ways to tackle it. I do an interim root touch up in blonde.
Now, why an interim touch up? The thing is, it's not recommended to bleach your hair every month. That's where an interim coloring comes to the rescue. It's easy and quick, and you can even do it yourself. For this, you can use a natural shade of hair dye. A natural shade tends to cover gray hair better and make the transition from the roots less noticeable. However, if you have a higher percentage of gray hair than I do, you might need to add 10.0 + 9.00 to the dye, in a ratio that needs to be tested.
What percentage of developer should you use for this coloring? If I weren't a blonde, I would definitely go for 6% or higher. But since I am a blonde, even if the roots aren't fully covered, they will likely blend in within a month with the help of bleach. That's the plan.
