I just finished watching POI and Root has become one of my all time favourite female characters. This tribute was honestly incredible and every time I watch it I get chills. You are so talented and ahh thank you for these feels

I so agree, I love the Actors, I am glad my englisch is good enough to see it in original, i really enjoy their voices :) so sad this show had to be over, maybe some day someone going to buy it,... even so I am afraid someone could screw it up.

This is so good. As soon as I watched it, I went online and started screaming at a friend to go and watch it, and then I watched it again. Your choice of voiceover was absolutely stunning. I don't know how you did it, but you managed to pick the perfect images to go to the perfect lyrics while adding the perfect voiceover. It was honestly magic. Favorite moments: - The moment the lyrics started. Magic. - 2:26 to 2:35. OMG. The buildup in the music, the overlay of the voiceover, the ringing of the shot. AAGH, my heart. - ...Immediately followed by 'if you meant something to someone' and a montage of how much Root meant to Shaw - ow, I am not okay, alright? And then how much she meant to Finch. You really know what the hell you're doing, ow. - 'If you helped someone. Or loved someone.' Okay, I realize I'm just describing the whole vid now, but I can't seem to get into words how perfect it was. - The montage of her smiling also killed me. I can't imagine a more perfect tribute. You captured it all. How much she changed from who she was, how much she cared for Shaw, how much she meant to Shaw and Finch, how much she sacrificed for doing good and saving lives. My heart is breaking so bad. And you still managed to end it on a semi-hopeful note. 'Maybe you never die at all.' - which perfectly captured the essence of the show and the final note that POI ended on. Flawless, all around. Thank you for making this. I wish KZread had a function to put a video in a playlist at the very top so that everyone would know it was the best, because I seriously don't wanna lose this vid among other (good but not as good) videos and tributes. Okay, I'm done now, haha. Sorry for the novel. This video did things to my heart, okay? Had to get it out...

When she died, I just went black, I couldn't believe she was dead, but now, everytime I remember her I feel that pull in my stomach, and even tear up a little bit, she was awesome, beautiful, caring, quite crazy, and so in love with Sameen Shaw it actually hurts to think about it. I miss her so much, she deserved so much better. Love you Samantha Groves, you'll always be our *ROOT.*

You are right. Root was a wonderful person, but in a way, this end fit her wonderfully. She was willing to perform the ultimate sacrifice for The Machine, Harold, Shaw, John, Joss, and Lionel. Her death was how she probably wanted to go, for the people she loved.

I will miss this Character forever. Love this video. Awesome work!

this is so damn beautiful. The best Root tribute I've seen so far. I wish lesbian characters wouldnt be killed off so frequently on TV but I am glad the PoI writers could give her a beautiful journey and an impactful well written death

It's beautiful. I've never used this word with such strong meaning behind it before. Also, I have a question for You. Could you make a POI video with the song "Freedom" from Django? I think it fits.

You did exactly the good editing to show us how much she was badass but emotive too... you show us she had a heart... some people forget that.thank you ofr this amazing video.

Awesome tribute video to a character so amazingly portrayed I am sure we will all feel the void for a very long time!

There's a small part of me that does not believe that Root is really dead. Even if she is, if the show comes back in some way, Root will be in it as the machine and I am pretty sure we will see her as well as hear her. I hope so. I don't know what a Person of Interest reboot would look like or what a new season (season 6) would even look like without John, but I would give it a try. And just to add, I have even more confidence that Nolan and Plageman can bring back John Reese and Samantha Grove in a believable way and still keep Root's voice as the Machine's. This show has to to come back. If ever a show was good enough to get another chance on another network or cable, or a streaming service (Netflix, because they stream it already) Person of Interest is critically acclaimed, it is a masterpiece and has millions upon millions of fans worldwide, which would benefit Netflix. If you have a Netflix account, contact the customer service and ask them to pick up Person of Interest for Season 6.
