Nice explanation mam, But I still had a doubt i.e root locus starts at a pole and terminates at zero right, but wile explaining you draw and consider along the two poles?

there is a mistake in ur explanation. a point is said to be on root locus if the total number of poles and zeros on the right side of that point is odd this is the correct one

if the RL lies b/w 2 consecutive poles then there must be an breakaway pt. .... no matters whether on d -ve real axis or +ve real axis
