root locus always starts from pole and end at either zero or infinity
Steps
step 1- locate poles and zeros
step 2- find root locus on real axis
step 3- find asymptotes and centroid
step 4- find break away and break in point
step 5- find crossing point on imaginary axis
00:10 locate poles and zeros
for getting poles equate denominator = 0, & find roots
for getting zeros equate numerate=0, & find roots
01:47 find root locus on real axis
take a test point and check whether you have odd number of poles or zeros on the right side of that test point. then root locus exist
if even number of poles and zeros there , then root locus does not exist
03:03 find asymptotes and centroid
for getting asymptotes find angle of asymptote
number of asymptote= P-Z
then find centroid and draw angle of asymptote
06:08 find break away and break in point
find the characteristic equation
from that find K
differentiate K and equate it to zero
find the roots of equation
check the roots obtained exist in the root locus in real axis
put the values of roots in the equation and check whether you are getting positive value
if there are two adjacent pole you will get break away point
if there are two adjacent zeros you will get break in point
11:03 find crossing point on imaginary axis
from the characteristic equation
either find Routh Hurwitz stability criterion
or put jw in place of S and equate real and imaginary parts

Ive never commented on a video before, 3 minutes in and you KILLED THIS EXPLANATION! Keep it up!
sir this is really the best method
wow. your teaching makes it easy to understand and is straight to point. I love it.
Very beautifully and clearly explained..... After watching so many lecture I stick on it and able to solve my questions
i love you man u r the best
if we dont have gain or k so first we have to add k then equate numerator and denominator with )?
Thank you sir, you saved me
thank you it is a really helpful video

Thanks a lot Bro 😊
❤ excellent briefing, thanks

this was the first video i have to watch on 0.75x speed
Sir explanation is clear but i cant understand uur language properly 🙏
Bro make a video with different example :- 50(1+0.1S)/S(1+0.01S)(1+S)
I think you draw wrong root locus if we put test point b/w -2 & -1 than there is 2 poles so there you can't draw root locus b/w -2 and -1

Let me try.. Will do more questions if time allows
why did u take -60? can u tell while plotting angles which side of protactor should be considered up or down??
@smartEngineerShinton
3 жыл бұрын
Keep protractor upside... Here I need to mark 300 degree.. .. As we know +300 and - 60 are same... So i plotted - 60 degree
@sambhavigajula2653
2 жыл бұрын
It is enough if you calculate required no.of angles.... If we calculate more Then the values will be repetitions of previous values.... That's what happened there!!
Thank u very much sir.
Step 4 S value is wrong S=-10.845 S=-13.15

Thanks for your great video.....and polar plot bro...
Am totally speechless
I calculate when subtitute s= -0.84 i got K = 11.51 not 3.05 why ehh
