Roostertail Catches EVERYTHING... Under 100-Year-old Dam

Спорт

Went exploring in western North Carolina and found an old dam to hike to. The water was nice and clear and just loaded with fish. Used my ultralight rod and a Roostertail for some nonstop multispecies action.

We were just sightseeing around Santeetlah a few weeks ago...we took the Cherohala and drove up the road that runs beside the Cheoha to 129 and then went to Fontana and looked around before heading to Cherokee and then through the Smokies back home to Kentucky...beautiful area...and we only scratched the surface of all the beautiful places in western NC.

I know where you were fishing and I believe the trout did spill over from the lake. They are lake bred wild rainbows known as stealhead. I know some giant ones come up the rivers on the other side of the lake in December to spawn..Here in the midwest winter stealhead fishing is prized on the Great Lakes.
