Roopa a couple of months ago my doctor who is treating me for anxiety recommend Indian classical music for relaxation. I have a device that measures and records stress levels. My stress levels are the lowest they have ever been when I listen to your music. Even with my skies in California black with smoke and ash you are a ray of sunlight. I hope that one day when the world comes back to normality I can hear you play in person. And remember, great musicians live forever in the souls they touch.

Once you hit the play button, you cant stop hearing it till the end! The elegance of soul stirring music! I thank god that I have ears to listen to such subtle yet majestic music! Blessings!

I love living in this era where such wonderful players can share their performances on the internet. I feel wonderfully ecstatic when listening to Roopa’s sitar playing.

You have matured as one of the finest sitarist of our times. Not many can play Jog better! I love your detailed approach and treatment of a raga with its deep nuances. No gimmicks, just pure sensibilities. Look forward to many more mesmerising performances. My faith on this generation of young musicians just got reinstated with the likes of you, Purbayan, Abhishek Borkar, Nandini and Ragini Shankar, to name a few. No pretentious star kids, thankfully!!!

Jog; a raag that uplifts your mood and makes you feel happy and a bit of melancholy. One of my favourites. Beautifully rendered, ma'am. Thank you!

Your musical talents are tremendously underrated! It's no easy joke playing the Sitar straight for 44 minutes with the full intent of playing the full range of the raag from the Alaap to the Gaat.

Saw your "Raag puriya" video on darbar Festival. That was marvelous. ❤️

A beautiful rendering of one of my favorite ragas. In my opinion, music is not about how fast a musician can play (though displaying that speed now and then is a treat) but about how much emotion the musician's playing conveys to the listener. I prefer a musician who moves me to a musician who can play very fast but whose performances leaves me untouched. Your playing is full of emotion. Superb.
