Hey Kai Ling! Thanks for the really cool video. Just wanna know your opinion on the on-campus accommodation versus the off-campus one? Which one would you recommend, and the pros and cons if it's not too much to ask! :') I'll be joining the uni in September for my undergraduate program. Thanks, hope you see this haha

@@bettyschmitz22 hi! i’m a UON student! i’m not sure but i think international students spread evenly between on campus and off campus accoms! i’ve lived on campus and i definitely do think that the space is very limited there+ the buildings are quite old :( i spent my year1 in on campus accoms and now i’m moving off campus! i personally didn’t have that great of an experience at on campus accoms but i think if you’re worried and you want to be taken care of more, you should choose on campus accoms! since the management will most likely be a bit more responsible and helpful! and since you live on campus, you can easily reach out for help easily :) do let me know if you have any more questions :)

Hi , I have some questions , plz answer them as I don’t know who to ask ! . Why did you or like most students choose Univillage over the campus accommodation? Like I’ve heard that the management sucks and that they are rude , is that true ? Are the rooms clean ?

  • @kaiiling

Hi! Sorry for getting back to you late! From my experience, I didn’t have many encounters where I need to engage with the management. There were 2 times where my light bulbs went off. Once I visited the management office and scheduled a time to fix it, they’re all good, it was done within 2 days for both times. I believe respect is mutual, if we treat them with manners, we’ll be treated somewhat the same 😊 Rooms were clean when I moved in, yes. Only needed minor cleaning to touch up. Both on campus and off campus options have their respective pros and cons, I picked to stay in UV in my final year because I had lesser classes. And it felt like I slightly more freedom at UV (feels like living “outside” if you get what I mean). But of course, everything is more convenient if you stay on campus. I stayed on campus for 3 years and loved the convenience too.

Hi is the AC cost included in the monthly rental or excluded ? Have to pay for AC ourself or no ?

  • @kaiiling

Hi, the AC cost isn’t included. Semenyih is pretty chilly, I didn’t have to sleep with AC at night. On average I pay less than RM50 a month for AC. Usually only used in the daytime.
