Hey guys, this week was the rookie wingless special at Hamlin with a better pot and slightly different format. There were 12 cars total, half come every week and half were new to me anyways. We went out for timed hot laps and believe we were 2nd quickest out of the 12, and with the 4 car invert into the heat that put us 3rd in the heat.
The heat race went well and ended up 2nd. For the past while I have been fighting a ton of wheel spin off the turns so I got a new right rear tire and also put little softer suspension in the rear to try to get some weight back there.
For the feature race we started 4th, and I'm not sure what was going on behind me, but it was a caution fest for the first half of the race. I ended up holding me position and finishing 4th, and with how fast the other guys were, I figured a fourth place was about where id end up anyway.
