i often feel like it's the shooters fault on plays like these. Because a lot of the time they run wide, they leave a huge gap for their defender to chase, which motivates the screener to close the gap by sliding into the chasing defender. if the shooter just runs shoulder to shoulder with their screener, there is no gap and you force the defense to either switch (creating a mismatch), or help and recover (creating a vulnerability in the defense). but if the shooter runs wide (which you can see she does at 0:03, the action is compromised from the start

Players need to realize you don’t have to make contact when you screen all the time especially off ball screens. She did her job the defender is now trailing and Nurse is open for the three which she made. Brinks will learn she’s so talented

And that’s her biggest adjustment, she has to work on her fouling issues.
