Jeter's hot streak continued when he rolled into Mercedes, Texas for the Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show and Rodeo. And he didn't disappoint - in fact, he absolutely dominated.
First, Jeter took on an unrideableChief Spilled Communion in the Xtreme Bulls event. But Jeter proved he was up for the challenge, putting up an incredible 91-point ride to take home over $5,500 in winnings.
But Jeter wasn't done there. He still had the main rodeo competition to conquer. And conquer it he did, riding Hoot of Lancaster and Cude Pro Rodeo for 85 points, good enough for 3rd place and another $2,500 payday.
Those back-to-back victories have Jeter sitting pretty atop the Resistol Rookie standings, leading the pack by $6,000. And in the overall PRCA World Standings, he's already cracked the top 12.
At just the start of his rookie campaign, Jeter Lawrence is proving he has the grit and talent to be a force to be reckoned with in the world of professional rodeo. If this is how he's coming out of the gate, just imagine what the future has in store for this young bull riding phenom.
