Perfecto Garcia. You fixed it beautifully. That tarp might have worked if it had gone all the way down from the ridge covering the whole side, but when something is done wrong there is always trouble

My 10 year old GAF architectural shingles are really glued together. Just trying to use the flat bar really messed them up. I got a tip to use a thin blade scraper and lightly, carefully drive between the courses. Slow, but it works. Thanks for your video.

What do you do if when trying to raise the old shingles to find the whole tab it’s tearing up? Do you just put roof tar when putting the new piece to seal the one that tore?

I see where the new felt is underneath the old felt at the top, but what about on the sides? Did you also put the new felt underneath the old felt and seal it with roofing cement?

Roofing Solutions by Eric Garcia I am trying to learn how to repair my roof unfortunately after you removed the shingles that's pretty much where your video stopped doing any good. I know and understand what the tar paper is but you had a starter shingle. that is one of the things I am trying to learn about. So I am still at a loss. And you go from a picture of the tar paper with a starter shingle to a snap of the fingers and magically it's all done like we are supposed to know. SO ALL YOUR VIDEO WAS ACTUALLY ABOUT WAS REMOVING THE OLD SHINGLES AND PREPPING FOR NEW ONES. SO WHY DIDN'T YOU PUT THAT UNDER YOUR VIDEO SAYING THAT'S WHAT IT WAS ABOUT???? SO in actuality you are trying to make money from a video that isn't what you claim👎

Definitely needs a new roof. Needs to be Re- decked as well with osb decking. The roof isn't up to code with skip decking. That is of course if Nebraska's state building codes requore osb decking on all residential roofs. Skip decking is no good. I live here in Oklahoma, and I'm a roofing contractor. I run into this type of decking frequently when dealing with & replacing older roofs. They take on a lot of leaks. Good repair though

Walter Lopez ...se nota que usted no es roofer, use el mismo color y la misma marca, pero como despues de 5 años el sol decolora el material , eso lo hace imposible de igualar, eso es algo que todos los que hacemos esto lo sabemos. saludos

Horrible repair. You always use the same decking as is pre-existing, in this case slat-board. Also, you must apply ice/water shield to the area being repaired prior to installing felt and shingles.😡

Terrible video. Showed the eazy stuff, skipped all the stuff I wanted to know. Watched him pull nails for 5 minutes and then, SHAZAM!! the new felt paper magically appeared where it is supposed to be.
