Not a chance. I know what happens to a golf ball when the impact sounds like that. If he's insanely lucky it went about a third of the distance that John's did. Worse, he's got maybe five swings before his arm is going to be feeling the strain from the torque he's putting on it. My golf game got so much better when I worked out a one-handed swing. That? That's what it looks like and sounds like when you're doing it wrong. It puts a lot of strain in the shoulder and elbow and about half your power is trying to spin the club in your hand. It can feel like you're striking with the hammer of God and the ball won't manage to go a single yard on a direct hit. Yeah, Ronon's supposed to be a badass, but the writers of this scene really have no appreciation for how hard the one-handed swing really is.

The funniest part about that is he's going fishing with Rodney. He doesn't want to spend hours with Rodney, he needs other people there to keep him sane. I wouldn't want to go fishing with Rodney either. And then...ya know.

Yeah it really hurt when he died in this episode especially since people said no. Also the allusion to the explosions when he said he had a pain in his stomach or chest.

I like how John always has a splash sound effect with his strikes and Ronan's lands just too far away haha

Mom.'s ball went into orbit. Pretty funny until one of the shuttles blew up with two side characters on a training mission on a cancelled episode. Pretty sad. Worst part is one of them had a pet hamster and no one realized until they found it horribly dehydrated and had to euthanize it days, later. I'm glad they decided to cancel that episode. Too sad.

I like how John tried to hit the ball the same way Ronon did at the end LOL!

The best Stargate golfing moment was when O'Neill was driving golf balls through an active gate in the SGC. Then he got yelled at by Hammond.

I would have watched five seasons of Teal'c, PI. My only question is what kind of car did they give him. Was it flashy, or something that would just be confusing like a 1990s minivan.

The fact that Jason ACTUALLY did smack the living crap out of the ball with the driver one handed &they didn't even need to use special effects that was literally how violently loud it sounded irl still cracks me up to this day 😂

This episode had be laughing and then crying by the end of it. So great.

Carson coming in this scene made me sad, because I remembered this is the episode when he died. I cried a lot.

I love these guys... Why do they always have to cancel the best shows?? And let's note, yet again, what a tear-jerker this episode was. 💔😢 I miss Stargate Atlantis & Dark Matter. 😭😭😭

This episode is like the most sad one ever. Carson dies in this mission due to noone wanting to go fishng with him. Indirectly anyways

The weird thing to think about is after millions of years so little was left behind on that planet when Atlantis was forced to relocate. All they left was the geo-thermal power platform, a refurbished puddle jumper, and a bunch of golf balls. And all these at the bottom of the sea.

True. But Quinlan vos is already In the prequels, he's only in for like a few frames in episode 1 on tatooine, I believe it's when sebulba and jar jar have a little face off. And apparently that's what gave rise to the comic adaptation of Quinlan.
