    Rousey's interview was fine, but I hate the manipulation on FOX 11's part with the title. She did not say 1 thing about Cyborg or Carano and they wasted my time by putting that in the title. Why not show the interview in its entirety or redirect me to the full interview from the beginning. I know it is a small thing, but I'll just avoid anything FOX 11 puts up on youtube from now on.

    I don't think Ronda would actually beat up Kardashian..but I do believe she would backhand the condescending nature out of that bitches soul . This is Ronda's PROFESSION that she has worked toward her entire life and has annihilated every competitor . Kardashian set off her infamy with getting fucked and then it just snowballed down a hill of dog shit from there . I don't see Ronda as a role model for little girls but I see her as an inspiration for women her own age who want to be a 1/3 of her bad ass self motivation . She FIGHTS with skill and makes no excuses or apology offered for her earned skill . Now if she comes out with an APP that does nothing then we could revisit the topic of her worthiness ...don't see that happening anytime soon..ever .

    Zsavage1 First of all, love the profile photo!!! ;D Agree. With any young girls in my life they can have the pink and princess...ugh on the princess... BUT they have to have a pair of work gloves and boots in their bag pack ;D I'm almost 20 years older than her, and she's a great role model for me! I detest what is used as role models today, so disturbing...should be criminal!

    Zsavage1 Ronda could be an example for adults , sure . And her olympic accomplishments are stellar of course. Parents should be role models for their kids first and if someone has admiration for her that is fantastic as well . Her profession is by nature violent and brutal but her work ethic and drive is unbelievable. Those are some traits that would be great to pass on all on their own . That comment was a bit rant-y and I kind of flew off the handle but I cannot stand any of Kardashian Klan . I see what you are both saying and I concur .

    Zsavage1 I have three daughters myself who watch the female fights with me when there is going to be a good one . I am the same way by not shielding my own girls either. Life's a bitch and she throws some pretty nasty sucker-punches at any given time..LOL.. My direction was going towards more of parents need to provide examples for their kids instead of allowing "celebrities" and "athletes" to take on that role in their place is all . I can't deal with those media cows myself

    Kari Kidd 3 daughters, my mother knew your pain ;) In the 70's my mom and I watched Wrestling and we threw down! I'm not a mother to humans but for some reason I have been blessed with kids in my life that love being around me. It takes a village right, so not only parents need to be role models. Anyone but those Kardashian/Jenner. 90% of celebs. And I'll admit, I'm not always a role model for everything...that's honest..kids don't like hypocrites..parents need to be the ultimate role model..and with their shortcomings..be honest and ask their kids to be better. Hardest job on the planet for sure and I tip my hat. .........So, to go back, Rhonda is a great role model for little girls, for sure ;)

    The question he asks around the 4:05 mark is really interesting. We traditionally think of femininity and toughness as being so separate, that it's still considered noteworthy when a woman displays extremes of both. I think the beauty of women like Ronda Rousey is that they are proving once and for all what has always been true: that masculinity doesn't really have a monopoly on toughness, that femininity and strength just as naturally go hand-in-hand.

    Rousey is one trick pony. Don't get me wrong, I love her personality, but the fact that she beats opponents with ground game and armbars only shows how one dimensional the women's division is if nobody's yet been able to stop such an obvious plan of attack. Carano was a much more complete fighter. The only reason she lost to Cyborg because was because Santos was hopped up on enough roids to push a man twice her size over. I believe that after some training and a warmup fight or two, Gina would beat Rousey by *KNOCKOUT*

  • @jpc200

    @jpc200

    9 жыл бұрын

    You are 100% correct. She's a one trick pony but you gotta admit... it's a pretty big and well polished pony. It may not be as exciting to watch to many but if I were in her shoes I'd have the same mindset: "I'ma ride this here pony of mine til someone knocks my happy ass off it . Pardon me, I need to go rake this money into the bank real quick." Totally agree with you on the Cyborg fight too. Carano beating Rousey, like all Rousey fights, would be completely dependent on Carano staying on her feet. I'm not sure she'd be able to get enough space to effectively end Rousey before they locked up, Rousey drops her and hopped on said pony ftw. But that's just my layman's thoughts on a fight that will most likely never happen.

  • @VitalYFZ

    Pretty silly perspective when she has grown in leaps and bounds every time we have seen her. Her last few fights she has shown good stand up and her last fight was great stand up and finished with a first round TKO. Her striking is steadily improving and she can stand with anyone now IMO.

  • @jpc200

    @jpc200

    9 жыл бұрын

    I agree with you 100% as well, she is not even at the peak of her skill set yet and keeps growing with every outing that lasts long enough to showcase her growth. That doesn't change the fact that if she was standing up with someone who gave her a run for her striking money it'd be time for the bread and butter: get in close, drop that fool and go for the elbow. I didn't intend to take anything away from Rousey's striking game with my comment either. It's solid and improving, which is scary. My point was, it's also the only thing Carano would have a snowballs chance in hell of overcoming in whatever crazy dimension allows them to step in a ring together. Carano hits the mat and it'd be game over faster than you can say "Oh shit..." I don't care how many warm up matches she gets beforehand. On her feet would be her only hope and you can believe I'd be rooting for Carano, albeit most likely in vain.

  • @FINETUNEDGAMING

    @FINETUNEDGAMING

    VitalYFZ No offense, but the women's bantamweight division is mostly powderpuffs aside from Rousey and ~maybe~ Miesha Tate. The gulf between them and the rest of the roster reminds me a lot of how Anderson Silva & GSP were so far ahead of their weightclasses in their prime that realistically it wasn't a matter of "who can beat them" so much as it was "who're they going to beat next". Rousey's got it easy right now, so while I won't discredit her abilities...she really doesn't need to utilize them much against a grid that's no match for her. She in my opinion would have to fight Carano or Cyborg if she ever wants to be in a major, main event worthy match-up, because right now it's not totally her being too good, it's the rest of the division not being good enough.

  • @GodlessComedy

    One dimensional? If someone is one dimensional then surely that means they are predictable right? So is Mike Tyson one dimensional for winning 44 of his fights by KO; mostly uppercuts? Rousey's job is to get in the ring and win? If she's so one dimensional (predictable), why is it then that that her opponents - who know months in advance and train to defend against her attacks - continue to lose to her in one of two ways (G&P or armbar? Is this not then a reflection of her superiority as an athlete?

    +snowfish1121 UFC is a niche thing. As far as the general public goes every interview needs to be assumed the first time most viewers see her. That said, I thought this interview got pretty deep despite starting with the standard material.

The thing is, when it comes to women fighting, people that are unaware of this mma female world all think they look like men, because of their strength and their attitude. I've always admired and respected Ronda Rousey. Today I respect her and admire even more. For being a woman, for being a fighter, for continuing to be a star in the world of sports and especially for having defeated the whole pack of hyenas that when they sniffed their low hours, they threw themselves on it to tear it apart. But they were choked in their stinking mouths. Today Ronda triumphs in sports, triumphs in the entertainment world and is happy in his personal life; all this to the despair of his pathetic detractors. Siempre he admirado y respetado a Ronda Rousey.

    People sure do have a hangup on nudity. By perpetuating this silliness, it's only feeding the sex industry. Of all the problems with this world, nudity wouldn't rank in the top 1000, nor should it. But people sure act like it's of major concern. These warped puritanical views that have been forced on us since childhood, and thrust upon us by our forefathers, have lead to repressed societies. So, yeah...thank the Puritans for our thriving sex industry.

    billymont7 Nothing wrong with nudity in itself. People can't think in terms of cause and effect. A person whoring around and getting AIDS is bad because that is destructive to their health and society. Most people lack a proper axiom for making their moral decisions. Things that destroy power/life are bad, things that promote it are good. All else is folly.

    Who do you think is fighting in the UFC women's 135 division? The girls that were in Strikeforce. Rousey, Tate, Carmouche, Kaufmann, etc... all of them were Strikeforce fighters. I agree that Rousey is the best, but damn that statement was stupid and pointless.

    Maxime Bergeron I said ufc is GENERALLY a higher level of fighters, fighters come to the ufc from strikeforce when they are good enough and they leave ufc to strikeforce when they are at the lowpoint of their career. what i said wasnt stupid and pointless, i never said strikeforce has no good fighters, i just said that in general the great fighters go for the ufc contract

    don't forget also that Cyborg walks around closer to 165,so when they actually fight,they won't be at 145,Rousey would probably sit close to 145,and cyborg will be 165,all that weight cutting is water,and it comes right back after the weigh-in

    I think she said before that she would love to beat up Kim Kardashian because Kim is not a good role model. Does anyone else find that a ridiculous statement? With Rousey's statements and actions in the past I do not find her a good role model.

    Thing is, Kim Kardashian pretends she cares about people, pretends she's embarrassed over the Kardashian family drama, but she LOVES it. She's a celebrity who is famous for a sex tape. People don't know her as a singer, actress, athlete, or even a model, because she's famous for being born into a wealthy family and getting married to Kanye West, when regular people have to work to get to that kind of status.

    Most female athletes would be offended by what he said, but shes completely right. Female competitors can use the whole "attractive" thing to their advantages. Plus, its not like that doesn't happen with male athletes. I see women tweeting male mma fighters all day long with the "marry me" stuff. Men like women, and women like men. It happens in everything we do. Work, sport, entertainment, school... everything. So use it to your advantage. :p

    point being,there isn't any way to be sure,or even reasonably sure that she's not still cheating,Rousey would have to gain fat to make weight,so there would effectively be a 30+ pound difference in weight,Cyborg isn't all that good,not nearly as skilled as Rousey in any case,but being a third again bigger than her,might make up that difference,and theres absolutely zero reason for Rousey to take that chance,beating Cyborg won't move her up in the ranks,Cyborg doesn't rank at all.

  • @ViralMessiah
    @ViralMessiah11 жыл бұрын

    and if you honestly think Cyborg isn't on steroids,and if you honestly think that tests EVER catch anyone who isn't just lazy or stupid,you have absolutely no business commenting on the subject. Steroid abuse is very easy to get away with,and the more money you have,the easier it gets. Cyborg is CLEARLY on steroids,and always has been,and tests won't stop her. the smart money for any fighter,is to flatly refuse to fight a proven cheater..and thats what Ronda should do.

    If you could rob a bank and only get a year in jail plus you would get the money, there would be a line for people robbing banks. If you’re a fighter and you test positive for PEDs you get a $2500 fine and a year suspension. That’s a year of no testing and hard training to bulk up. Then come back to the sport and keep the muscle mass. If it is not hard for them to come back, where is the deterrent? There should be a ? by all their wins and it should be hard for them to find a paid bout.

    The ultimate ruling is neither are role models for young women. Young women need to learn to look within themselves, compete with themselves, and allow other women to inspire them, but not beat themselves up when they don't "measure up". ....But if you're gonna compare the difference is Rhonda WORKED for her body and Kardashian PAID for hers.

    you can't say I'm accusing a person of using steroids because of their looks,AFTER THEY GOT CAUGHT. and I don't give a shit who uses steroids,in fact,I think they all should be allowed to,that said,I think anyone who gets caught cheating shouldn't be allowed to fight ANYONE. this is a sport where people actually physically attack each other to win. taking steroids isn't any different than hitting her with a pipe when the ref isn't looking,not one tiny bit different. get off cyborgs nuts.
