I agree. It doesn't matter how long it's been, I lost my grandma to cancer when I was five. That was eight years ago. It still hurts. I can't imagine how they still feel

I mean, Taylor didn't even make a music video for this, (nor I think she never put it in an album) just to get the attention, so it means she did it because she wanted to help. Everytime anyone would talk bad about Taylor I'll torture them with 10-min session of reading the blogs ronan's mom did (so that person would cry his eyes out)

It's as she said, Ronan was too perfect for this world to have. You are in a better place now, little man, but you will always be loved and remembered. Same goes to the other children their parents and families lost to cancer.

This hits home for me. My nephew was born with congenital heart failure. He weighted just 2.5 lbs. at birth and we just knew that the holes in his heart would make the stakes impossible for him. But we held onto hope and after just 2 months and 2.5 more pounds, he had his first heart surgery. It was a success and he was a trooper. He went through a total of 4 surgeries over the course of his first 10 months of life. But his little grey eyes held light and his smile was the world. Anyone who met him loved him immediately. However, things went bad after the fourth surgery. He got an infection and even though it had cleared up, he never became that smiley baby again. The last picture of him, at just 10 months, was right before his 5th surgery. His eyes had no light, his face red, and he looked like he just gave up. Yet we were optimistic until the very end. He passed on the operating table. Poor baby, he was the first child of my siblings, the first of a new generation. And he too will never see his little brother. I wish there was some way to end such a terrible pain of losing a child, but there has yet be one. R.I.P sweet boys, Ronan and Tyler.

What makes this suck even worse is that maya truly believed he would be ok. If you read her blog she says dozens of times that Ronan will be ok and she talks about things that their family would do once Ronan was well. Rip sweet Ronan I know you’re up there ☝️running and playing and having fun

In 2011, Taylor and Maya wrote this song for Ronan. It broke our hearts and brought so much awareness to fighting cancer. Unbeknownst to Taylor, years later her mother, Andrea, would begin her battle with cancer. This song and its story was now even more personal. When Taylor was robbed of her masters (including this song) I was sad that this story would be owned by someone else. And now in 2021, we can rejoice in Taylor's Version being released soon with Maya's support. Ronan, his story and his family will live on eternal in this song, and we will treasure his memory along with it. Much love to Taylor and Ronan's family for sharing his remarkable story with us ❤❤

I bawled my eyes out. I had my son at 17 and when he was two he was diagnosed. I felt like it was my fault. He fought so so hard. Jaxxon went to meet jesus when he was five. Cancer sucks. Excuse my language but I literally fucking hate cancer! SO many beautiful babies leave this world too soon.

Same story here 😭 My son Kaden was diagnosed at 8 months with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. He also had 2 brothers. Died 10 days before his first birthday. Childhood cancer is so awful.

this song still gives me goose bumps to this day ( 3 years later) what a powerful song and message, cancer is a vile thief!!

I've never seen such an adorable little boy. He already looked like an angelic angel. The fact that they are still together shows just how strong they are. Couples rarely are able to stay together after the loss of a child.
