so much respect for Araujo, most the pro players you see in these challenges barely try and give minimal effort, but Araujo actually put some effort and was out of breath by the end of it which he didn't have to do. He shows respect to the players by giving them his effort.

As an offensive player who really liked to dribble I found this one on one training games against good defenders more difficult than dribbling in real game situations. Reason is probably that the defender can solely concentrate on your actions, no flurring activities around, no choice of passing instead of dribbling, etc, and if he is fast and has good positional skill it is hard to get past a defender. And in some situations it seemed to be easyier to dribble against two defenders, using open space between them and the fact that each of them is relying on the other one to react and close the space. This doesn't happen when the defenders knows he' s the only one in charge

This was such an awesome video ! First one I see from this series. Araujo showed his World Class abilities but what I loved most is how humble and down to earth he was with all these guys trying to humiliate him 😂

Makes you wonder how insanely good prime Messi and Ronaldo must've been to be able to dribble past and score against so many great defenders and goalkeepers.

He’s so fast. His leg muscles are sick man!! It really put it into perspective. Shows how good they are!

When I was in highschool there was a freestyler at my school people used to form crowds and watch him freestyle after class. Me and my friends a few of us we played at provincial level which was the highest before professional or semi professional. I remember he joined us for a 6 a side game half field and he couldn’t get a single touch on the ball. Very different playing real football against real defenders and playing futsal

Genuinely my favourite player in Barcelona, insane dedication and he truly plays for the badge.

He's a perfect captain for Barça and that should happen as soon as possible. He was a huge part of our defensive masterclass 2022-2023 season alongside Kounde, Christensen, Balde and New-Hair MATS.

Vvd got experience on top of being fast and strong and Thiago silva is the best at reading players before they even make a move. Very few professional players would be able to get past Araujo in this challenge. They wouldn't look as hopeless, but this is ideal situation for the defender -- no passing options and far away from goal for shooting without dribbling past him to not be possible either. And we know that almost nobody gets past him even in real games where the opponents do have those other options.

Great challenge. It shows actually how hard is to be good pro football player. Those guys shine in the footsal and can do amazing tricks but have 0 chance in real football pitch vs pro players.

Love seeing a pro defender demonstrating how to defend 1v1.. Being very good in freestyle is totally very very different when comes to playing on a 11-a-side pitch.. Pro defender doesn't commit that easily and love seeing how Araujo is always ready to accelerate, never keep his body flat facing the opponent and once the defender tries to beat him, off he goes full force with his body to knock the opponent off balance.. Totally love it.. I myself play as a defender and still trying to learn about the right timing. But it is really too bad.. I would love to see a 2v1 against Araujo because an attacker having an option to pass needs a different strategy to defend. Hope there will be a chance to watch this..

In this situation -- 1-on-1 with no passing options and zero element of surprise, maybe someone with insane speed like Mbappe or Dembele will have a good chance to get past him, but for most professional players it will be almost as impossible as it was for these guys. And we know that because we've seen how that duel goes many times in real games.

Point to note, when dribbling one on one momentum is your best friend, if u try to stop or slow down and do all that fancy stuff especially against a pro it isn’t gonna work, for eg Arjen Robben dribbles at you with pace then changes direction from left to right to left again then explode away from the defender b4 he can set himself up good which is gonna open up a shot for you
