There is a lot of inflation; despite what the government says. Anyone who's gone food shopping in the past month knows this, as do building contractors and remodelers and any homeowner who's done any home improvements recently. There is also lots of inflation the past 3 years in health care costs, college and many other products and services. Basically people's money is buying less and less each year, despite what the government and many financial "experts" say

+888strummer There is not a "lot of inflation" anywhere. Some items go up, some go down. Unless you cherry pick some food item that is up due to bird flu or drought, you are not seeing anything increase a whole lot. You are wrong.

+Mak Muk I'm not an economist, but I don't think just looking at prices at the supermarket being high of low constitute a gauge for inflation. I'm sure there are many other aspects that need to be looked at other than just prices of products.

The Federal Reserve will lie through their teeth to keep the confidence in the dollar at its highest in order to keep their entire Ponzi scheme of money-printing going. The private owners of the FED need to build their wealth somehow too, right?

No inflation wow these people just do not understand the true definition of it, an expansion in the supply of currency and credit out of thin air, leading to a decrease in the purchasing power of the currency due to distortions in the supply and demand fundamentals, which every country has been doing since we left gold funilly enough in 1971

+Pincher Crowley - Fake gold, yes. You are right. The fake gold is the paper contract. Gold would be worth X8 or X9 what it is worth right now if paper contracts didn't exist. If you own the ounces of gold, you own the ounces of gold. The rest of the people trusting those companies to hold their gold are trusting the stock market of gold notes. It's as simple as that.

100 percent in the future more of our technology will be relying on Gold. Water is only more valuable than Gold when it cant be found as long as water is available it is not more valuable than Gold.

Mikel Kiparski You got that right. 3 years ago I sat down with a friend and we attempted to uncover the REAL price of physical Gold & Silver. Using dozens of data points we came to this: 1 oz. Gold = $500 1 oz. Silver = $70 I still buy physical Silver from time to time (which is a crapshoot due to shorting) but Gold is a total joke.

+G Ph /there is no real price of anything really only the price the seller wants and the buyer is prepared to pay it is manipulated /rigged / made into law / shortages are created/surpluses are made/ all to confuse or for military purposes. With my spare,spare,spare cash I like to buy silver coins and small gold coins 1/10 ounce kruger rands as an insurance against what??? who knows???it gives me peace of mind.[[a horse a horse my kingdom for a horse]]
