I love Ron Holland as a prospect, I really hope it works out for us

I really like Holland. I think I value simmilar things to you. When I look at a player I try to find their "superpower" and Holland's driving and burst is one for me. Not many players in this draft really have a "superpower", so I think him falling past the lotery is crazy. If my Blazers pass on him with two lotery picks I will be very disapointed.

Ron Holland is 18 years old!! shooting most definitely needs attention, but Ron has natural energy, plays defense, very athletic , moves without the ball, got handle needs some work to be elite. Fresh out high school. Kuminga, Jaylen Brown. Ron has what they had at their age. We giving Jalen Duren time, we have to let Ron develop.

if only ivey, ausar and holland could shoot at least 36% from 3.......

Holland is actually same height as Barrett but longer wingspan by almost 2 inches

He will get to work with Fred Vinson in his rookie season who many consider to be the best shooting coach in the league. If he develops a league average shot then the sky is the limit.

I like how many of these clips show him talking. Theres definitely some thoughtfulness to his game. Just needs to see how much he can absorb game wise. He's getting a foot into the paint faster than most guys can react. If i'm Indiana i want this guy on my team.

Looks like the shot @2:00 got blocked by the way, not smoked. Which is a good thing i think 😂 Just needs to be more aware of helpside defense.

I like Ron a bit more after this video. He has legit all star upside but his floor is still really low I could easily see his median outcome being Derrick Jones Jr

@@benpfeifer8192 he also hasn't played for one team for more than 2 seasons lol. I'd honestly be surprised if hes still on the Mavs in 2 years. Wings who can't shoot aren't a hot comedy. But there's a 15% chance he becomes Brown so I can't hate it

Derrick Jones Jr would be ecstatic about being a poor man's ron Holland in the future.

This kid could become RJ Barrett or Jarrett Culver. I'm not quite as high on him but I can see the upside for sure.

Love the comps that you brought with Barrett, and also Sexton's first driving clip reminds me of Holland. Out of the top 3 slashing wings in this class - Holland has the best dribble moves and finishing moves (euro's & skilled steps); while Castle's handle gets away from him less. Also re: the Barrett comp, Holland is almost 2 inches taller - google image "rj barrett height duke" and you'll see him standing next to Reddish & Zion - Reddish is about 2" taller than RJ; and Holland just measured the same height as Reddish, at their respective combines.

Barrett was so good at Duke I thought he was 100% gonna be a all star in a couple years

he kind of reminds me of demar derozan without the mid range game

Not even close. KCP wasn’t a driver/finisher like this ever. He was known as a defender yes, but a perimeter stopper and not a long wing defender like Holland

I think he’s raw. Just the way he dribbles looks weird. I think in the league he’ll have some really ugly turnovers and I’m not sure if a coach would trust him to create. However he gets it done and see him becoming a suped up Josh Hart type of player. All hustle, but can play above the rim, knock down open 3s and hit the open man on drives

g league only shoots 1 ft so all of the ftr numbers for g league guys are skewed down
