Too many of us are waiting for the good life to begin and I think it's time we exit survival mode and enter thriving mode, even amid mundane life in the suburbs. 💕

Rather than rushing through cooking dinner after work so I can just flop on the sofa in front of the tv I’m trying to slow down and enjoy the process of cooking. Cutting up the vegetables slowly, being thankful for having them, enjoying the aroma of the spices I add to the food while I’m cooking. Somehow it turns the process of “having to do dinner” into something really enjoyable 😊

This year, I'm trying to turn the focus on my "to-dos" or chores as something to be enjoyable. Like cooking, cleaning up my 9 months olds toys for the day, or laundry. Life happens in these moments, so I turn on some music and try not to just rush through these things

something that helps me romanticize my life is taking pictures of the beautiful things I see. not for social media, but for me. the pictures don’t have to be perfect, they just have to capture the moment.

As I age, my most vivid meaningful memories all seem to be the ones where I stopped to really let my senses inform my experience. Sight, taste, touch, smell, hearing - and also the senses of balance, space, movement, etc… all helped to imprint important (sometimes life-defining) moments. And - we have to make the time to allow all this IN. My “sense”! of gratitude for all this is growing exponentially. As always, thank you for the gift of your videos.❤

I love this. top favorite video of yours! As a single mom for 13 years now, having one daughter who I homeschool and who will be a senior in high school this fall, and working two full time jobs from home as a prof organizer and photographer, I am overwhelmed and overloaded and I am desperate for slow living. I am working hard to provide but also to be more present as I round out 12 years of homeschooling and finish strong with my daughter. I feel like life has been a blur and I am most often highly anxious and overwhelmed as I crave just the mom life of taking care of my home and child. But this is my life now and thank you for the reminder to make every moment amazing. I needed this. Oh yeah and getting rid of 95% of my stuff, best thing ever. At least I don't have to battle that overwhelm anymore ;-)

You ARE so on it. On target. And you are creating that world you want for the future, by exactly what you are doing now. Showing others how it is done, for you. Each person can choose their own flavor of life. But yes, slow it down. Way down. Not an insignificant ingredient in the foods you make , is the the vibration you are adding. The vibration of love for your family. We are all light and vibrations at our very basics. Food that you grow and love or make will carry that added vibration that you have poured into it with your energy field and intentions. Processed foods are missing all of that. You have got this down! Continue to follow your heart, your excitement, your wonder and you will naturally inspire your children and others. That IS after all, what being a goddess is all about.

I love clean sheets! Today I am having an at home spa day. It starts with catching up the dishes. I haven’t kept up with the food part of the house because I’ve been having pain when I eat so it turned into all kinds of avoidance. So this care for my space aligns with the care my body is letting me know it needs. Maybe not a typical spa but so beneficial to me.

I thought how can I do this? and for me it was wearing nice undergarments. I pray & i put my armour on and this trick helps me romance every moment because I feel great, no- one knows of my undergarment im wearing, it feels like a secret I have with myself.. it makes me giggle, it makes me walk tall and strong ( my armour) and confident in everything I do or say.. for me, its not about nails or make-up for me, my compassion grows if im feeling great.. and I found this trick works for me to romance every moment.. the beauty you start to see is a miracle..

Definitely struggling with being constantly available. Tried to take a step back and had so many people fretting and questioning why. Insisting I check in with them still. I basically just needed to decompress away from it all for a while. To be able to switch off. Mentally and literally. I think it will have to be a gradual process. I am living a much slower life. Have changed massively for the better. Love my 6am start with an hour to just be before the world gets up. Have paired back all my belongings. That’s made the biggest difference. Life can be a lot more simple if we allow it I’ve found. Sending joy to you with thanks for helping me find the way.😊

I do this too. When I started I just told the few most important people hey I’m taking a step back from technology today and that way they know (husband, mom, etc) and everyone else could wait. It gave me piece of mind. I also decided to leave my phone on loud but in one spot so I could check it if I wanted but it stayed in that same place all day. (Kind of like a land line lol)

@@alle1780thank you alle. This helps a lot. I’ve agreed to message the important people as I wake at 6am so they know I’m up and fine (it’s because I have a disabled adult daughter they fret that if something happens to me no one would know as she couldn’t get help). I have put my phone aside like you suggested too. Sent a stock message to friends to explain not to worry if I don’t reply. Told them I was having a week off. I’ll do this the weeks when I have alot to deal with to try and eliminate the stress. I’m very much an introvert and too much outside contact stresses me when I’m dealing with issues. Have a relaxing day and thank you.😊

We are currently living with my inlaws and the clutter here is driving me nuts! Living vicariously through you until we move out next month.

Wonderful video. I actually took the time to googletranslate mundane today. And it all makes so much more sense now. I always thought mundane translates to the german word mondän, which means something like glamourous. 😀

I look so much forward to summer. Lying in the sun, feeling the warmth on your skin ☀️ ❤ But for now im just going to appreciate the slow and simple days inside our home. Being creative with the children and tidying up. 🥰

I love the winter. You need slow cozy winters just as much as those sunny summer days. It's a time to reconnect with yourself and love ones, to be slow and intentional. Don't get me wrong, I love summer time, but I think people hate on winter too much 😂

@@heather6404 you’re right of course. But we need to entertain 4 homeschooling children. And they dont do well when they stay inside for weeks and weeks 😅. All of us get cold so fast when we’re out. Our family is not made for dutch winters 😆
