ROMANIA - THIS IS THE HOTTEST COUNTRY IN EASTERN EUROPE
Romania is located in the southeast of Europe. With an area of 238,000 km2, it is the ninth largest country in the European Union and is home to a population of around 19 million people. Its capital, Bucharest, is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, the sixth most populated in the EU. Other main cities are Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Iași and Constanta. These cities are economic, cultural and educational centers of the country.
The official language of Romania is Romanian, a Romance language derived from Latin. The country is also home to a significant Hungarian minority, as well as communities of other nationalities such as Moldova, German and Ukrainian. The currency is the Romanian leu and the flag of Romania is a vertical tricolor of blue, yellow and red, colors that represent the sky, the sun and the earth, respectively.
Religion plays an important role in the lives of many Romanians. Orthodox Christianity is the majority religion, with around 86% of the population identifying as Orthodox. Other major religions include Roman Catholicism (5%), Protestantism (3%), and Judaism (0.2%).
Romania's economy is one of the strongest in Eastern Europe. The country is a major producer of agriculture, textile and automobile industries. Tourism is also an important sector of the Romanian economy.
Romania is a country with a rich and diverse culture. Its cultural heritage includes folk traditions, music, dance, crafts and delicious cuisine.
About 4% of married women in Romania have a foreign spouse. European Union countries are the main places of origin, especially Italy, Spain, Germany and France. Other important countries of origin include the United States, Canada, Israel, and Türkiye.
The destination countries preferred by Romanian women who emigrate vary depending on their individual motivations and specific circumstances. However, some countries stand out as popular options, including Italy, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France. Other countries that also attract Romanian women are the United States, Canada, and the Nordic countries.
These days the mind of the average Romanian is clouded by a series of worries. Inflation rises like a ferocious beast, devouring the purchasing power of citizens and sowing uncertainty about the future.
The war in Ukraine has opened a deep wound in the Romanian psyche, with the specter of escalation and economic instability lurking on the border. Corruption, like a persistent plague, corrodes trust in institutions and hinders the country's progress.
Romania's relations with other countries are complex and varied, with nuances ranging from friendship and cooperation to tension and mistrust. Romania considers the other member countries of the European Union as important partners in areas such as the economy, the security and cultural cooperation. Romania also has a special relationship with the Republic of Moldova, based on common history, culture and language. Romania also has friendly relations with other countries such as Israel, Turkey, Japan and Australia.
As for the relationship with Russia, it is tense due to the conflict in the neighboring country of Ukraine, while the relationship with Hungary is tense due to the situation of the Hungarian minority in Romania.
The Romanian economy has experienced sustained growth in recent years. GDP expanded 3.5% in 2023, driven by domestic demand and exports. Growth is expected to continue in 2024, although at a more moderate pace. However, the Romanian economy also faces some challenges such as Inflation, Trade Deficit, Corruption and Lack of labor.
In Romania, the percentage of foreign workers is relatively low compared to other countries in the European Union, at around 4.3% of the total Romanian workforce.
The main countries of origin of foreign workers in Romania are:

* Nepal: 7%
* Türkiye: 6%
* Ukraine: 5%

There is a region called Moldova inside of Romania and people who are living there are called moldavians. In Romania there are also people who came from abroad, Republic of Moldova, and they are called moldavians too. He is referring to 2nd category as minority.

yo siempre e querido ir a rumania se juerga... hace muchos años, antes de pandemia yo seguia la vida nocturna de bucares y si, yo quiero ir
Saludos estimados...gracias por esta nueva e interesante entrega. Acá en Costa Rica durante la URSS, Rumania concedió diversas becas universitarias y varios compatriotas se fueron a estudiar, la mayoría regresó con títulos siendo los más comunes, carreras biogenéticas, unos pocos se quedaron a trabajar e hicieron su vida ahí, otros se quedaron en la "Europa libre" y no regresaron...Fue un periodo particular en el cual se volvió tendencia ese país así como los costarricenses que estudiaron y regresaron al país.

Yo,siendo rumano y ademas viviendo cerca de estas playas,te digo que le felicitaria a Gustavo por la grabacion y edicion casi imposible,no se como lo hizo. Estimado Gustavo, como siempre de mucha utilidad y con un estilo único de mostrar la ventana a cada destino que nos llevas. Es un deleite visual, y es ineludible imaginar las fronteras cuando hablas de los países con quien guarda una estrecha relación Rumania en este caso. Seria muy útil que, dentro del capítulo insertaras una rápida imagen de la ubicación del lugar que visitas o de su moneda o algo característico.
