You also mean Lü Bu as Musou Hanzou Hattori Takaya Kuroda did indeed voice the Samurai Warriors take on Hanzou since SW1.

I poured so many hours in to this game as a kid. So hyped to play the Remake.

Please remake 10 and 11 and hopefully refine their flaws too

Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII changed my life forever. I can't wait for this. I'm not sold on the UI which is copying some of the later games, but I get it. The less it looks like an excel sheet, the more units they're likely to sell.

I'm concerned that it has yet to be confirmed if this remake will, like the PS2 original, allow you to play as multiple officers, thus having couch multi-player.

Looking forward to this. Loved 8 as a kid and poured 100 hours into it. The remake is looking quite a bit different, interested to see how much when i can eventually play it.

As X fan, excited to finally try VIII, I always love officer RPG based RoTK. I see we can duel and debate with similar system as X, which is great.

Excited to try this but, PLEASE get rid of the terrible AI face movement/stretching of characters in 'chats'. It looks terrible. A static picture would be better than the very unnatural and stretched face texture that is currently going on. 1:30 to 1:40 shows it good. Pay attention to the faces of the characters. They 'slide' around. It looks especially bad on the character with a helmet, as a large chunk of the helmet doesn't move with the rest of the head smearing

As somebody who isn’t knowledgable about the series: is RotTK8 a particular fan favourite entry? And if so, what makes it better than the newer games?

The ability to play as anyone, when the games release they alternate between being a playing as a leader only game, or as literally as anyone including the leader if you wish. Later games have had mixed reception over the years. Some would argue 11 or 12 is better but this one is up there. Also 8 was the first one to release in the EU so there’s nostalgia there too.

⁠​⁠​⁠@@Janembu Ah, so it’s sort of a true ideal of what a lot of people want out of these games, where you get to live out the history (and even change it) as any of the characters. I can see why it’s popular then. If you don’t mind me asking, what makes 13 & 14 not as good? Aside from (I assume) not having the ability to play as anyone.

@@CrossfacePanda as for 13, 13 imo has not very good balancing, imagine you control 3/4 of the map and the enemy AI is still able to put out armies roughly the same size as you can. Also iirc it removed some features which fans loved.

RTK 7, 8, 10, and 13 are the best ones and freedom filled, the other ones are just chained to a seat bossing people around. games like RTK 8 are worlds better than the traditional ruler focused games. these games are practically open ended RPGs, with character creation and sandbox open way of life life sim elements. RTK 13 is underrated, its the only RTK I play and only rpg RTK available on current console. people dont have to be an officer, they can travel the country and be an adventurer.

now please remake rotk 11, it's my all time favorite..

only 7, 8, 10 and 13 allow players more freedom. 11 is like all the other ruler only focused games, they are backwards and chained to a chair compared to the freedom filled open roleplaying ones.

yes, 7, 8, 10 and 13 especially benefit created characters, and people dont have to be an officer, they can roam as a normal person if they want.

No physical release??

I'm excited for this and hopeful that if this does well we might see a new tactics game someday

this trailer is basically copy paste of the Japanese channel, so the default is japanese since its a japanese game however it could include Chinese VAs like RTK XIII does. this isnt a 3D game like DW9 Empires so they should have budget to include CHinese VAs option. english VAs is even less likely and RTK series been having chinese VAs in more games than DW games which DW9 vanilla is the only localized DW to have chinese VAs in that series, but the english localition of RTK XIII has Chinese VAs. even Wo Long has Chinese VAs option. RTK 8 Remake should have it.

7 and 9 were the very best of the ROTK series. 8 was meh. Id definitely pick up 7 and 9 if they are remade ... Also Kessen 2 and Dynasty Tactics. Not to mention DW 5!

Im not gonna lie, AI is a good move, but it is still too early. With AI we will get to enjoy better hypothetical scenarios to make up, but currently it is too janky...

Same old same old... How about revolutioniz the game? Perhaps having 3D cities that you can walk through? Or a dating/marriage system that can bond historic figures?

Dynasty Warriors 9 and DW9 Empires are the most immersive 3D Three Kingdoms setting games to date from a graphical standpoint. maybe push for a VR RTK game, then they could jump to 3D. maybe adopt Sanguo Warriors technology. until KT gets ambitious they are playing it safe with the series. think the industry has to solve xenophobia in the real world first before these series sell more internationally to drive incentive to go higher with budget and tech.

Hate the ui 12 13 14 and this one are the same. Want ui look more classic like 7 8 9 10 11

this has the best UI in the series, unlike the others with tiny portrait , this has a massive portrait and everything fits nicely! have yet to see the map though I like RTK 13's 3D rotaable map and can change angle and elevation and it can be zoomed all the way to the city or all the way out.

What I don't like is user interface like button style, label style, art design, menu design, character page design, many list page design, domestic page design, war page design, many detail page design. It's all reuse from ROTK 12 13 14 and it's not look classic. Massive portrait are good. but I prefer old version character design with massive picture. New art design are not look like ancient China anymore. Many character go ugly. like Lu Bu. in Rotk 8 9 10 11 he's so cool. but in 12 13 14 and 8 remake. His look is so terrible. sorry for my bad English.
