References I could find: 0:37 - (Probably not a direct reference but) reminds me of the underwater sculptures of Jason deCaires Taylor at MUSA 1:01 - "Turtle Island" (derived from the creation story) is what some indigenous peoples call North America 1:11 - King Tutankhamun (ruled Egypt as pharaoh for 10 years before dying at age 19) 1:20 - ISIS beheadings incident 1:29 - Ruby Bridges (1960 New Orleans school desegregation) 1:39 - (What we've been dealing with for the past 3 years) 1:46 - The Black Death bubonic plague 2:13 - Neil Armstrong's quote 2:22 - Album cover of Nirvana's "Nevermind" (original photo by Kirk Weddle) 2:28 - Jackson Pollock (actor even resembles him) 2:30 - Ludwig van Beethoven 2:44 - Just 3 notable pieces of writing? 2:54 - Out of the three mentioned, only 1984 by George Orwell was known to be banned and burned. This is probably also a reference to the 1933 Nazi book burnings 3:00 - Self-immolation of Thích Quảng Đức, a Vietnamese Buddhist Monk in protest 3:12 - Cross burning associated with the Ku Klux Klan 4:07 - "The vulture and the little girl" photograph by Kevin Carter 4:10 - Nazi concentration camps 4:21 - inflatable of Trump in a diaper lol 4:55 - Tomb of the Unknown Soldier 4:57 - "Tank Man" at Tiananmen Square, 1989 5:03 - Mahatma Ghandi 5:06 - Fall of the Berlin Wall 5:17 - Debra Austin? 5:26 - Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech 5:28 - Totem Poles (most were carved from cedar) 5:32 - "The Flower Thrower" by Banksy (this was one of my favourite references they made) 5:39 - "Flower Power" and Ieshia Evans during a 1967 protest against the Vietnam War If there are some I missed or any incorrect ones, please let me know

4.24 "Amused itself to death" in front of a TV screen is a reference to Roger Waters classic song "Amused to death". The song takes inspiration from a book of Neil Postman.

I really like the IMMORTAL messaging. I like the video, and the way it ties all of time and major anthropocentric events together. Our society is lost in the now and a solipsistic attitude, and this broader historic spectrum is much needed perspective. Sidenote: the ROM must have had one helluva budget to make something like this. The set design, costumes, actors, and production design would have cost close to, if not a million bucks. It will make Mark Zibert's career, and congrats to him on producing it. It hits the mark.
