Wow , that's a great restoration project and the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow from Corgi is fantastic . The work at the finishing parts and painting process is really great . Maestro! Superlative restorations for both Rolls!! ❤ The wing-window process was so impeccable! A special touch for such expensive, historic cars. All the molding of parts, especially the Goddess of Love hood ornament were meticulous, your refined processes just shining. I was leaning towards the Blue model as my favorite, but the Two-Tone model with the "Golden Jacks" won my heart!! Kudos to you, Paul! 😊

I had the blue Whizwheels car when I was a kid in the '70s, it was one of my favorites but I always wanted the Golden Jacks version, which was unavailable by then. It's nice to see both versions restored at the same time.

Wonderful restorations as always, and I think it´s the first time I´ve seen you encase other materials in your castings (like the small windows in the door panels and the steel rod in the boot lid) - very inventive! Just one "correction": the Whizzwheels version is not numbered 273, but 280 and came in an updated modern window box (your box for the blue one still mentions take-off wheels, which it - of course - doesn´t have. I know about the box because this is one of the very, very few original vintage boxed Corgis I have. Seeing the two of them side by side at the end really shows how much taller the whizzwheels version is, despite being the same casting and the wheels (roughly) the same size - the difference is in the wheel clearance of the wings, on the whizzheels versions there´s a big gap, but on the Golden Jacks, there is practically none. This is due to the Golden Jacks-system itself: when you lock the wheels in place, it literally lifts the axle into the body. It sure was a nice system, but must also have been incredibly expensive to implement... as evidenced by the haste at which Corgi retired all Golden Jacks models as soon as the whizzwheels were ready.

Ten dwubarwny wyszedł obłędnie (oba tak wyszły, ale te dwa kolory dodają modelowi mega efektu!). Mam Mathboxa Rolls-Royce z tego okresu, tyle, że cabrio. Jest ... mocno używany, ale to najstarszy "resorak" jakiego mam. Mama dostała go od dziadka ... przypuszczam, że pod koniec lat '60.

Есть точно такой аналог только из пластмассы от Донецкой фобрике игрушек (ДЗИ клеймо стоит на донышке). Интересно а с одной матрицы эта модель изготовлялась? Модели почти 40 лел. С уважением к Вам!

Доброе утро. Насколько я знаю, русские купили на фабрике Mebe Toys несколько штампов для литья металлических моделей. пластиковый, о котором вы пишете, мог быть основан на самой модели, но он точно не был сделан из того же штампа, потому что пластиковые штампы были намного тоньше. С уважением

Beautiful restoration, but this is not a Silver Shadow, whatever the Corgi label may say. The Shadow had four doors and a straight waistline. This is a Corniche, though there was an interval when the two-door coupé was introduced before the Corniche name was adopted.
