I’d argue that it’s not that much worse than it’s always been but it’s just we have more channels for information. I think the propaganda aspect has always existed but perhaps the character of the classic journalist changed from a blue-collar fighter to a white-collar spoiled brat.

I study Journalism at university and the majority of my class has uneducated and redundant opinions. They get most of their disinformation from low-iq TikToks; yet they judge me for utilising independent journalists. Independent journalists that the woke deem “far-right”.

This podcast went down hill FAST!!!! Joe was like a psychiatrist talking to a very demented patient

I was proud of myself for listening to this whole podcast and practice what Joe preaches… listen to others opinions no matter how out there they seem to be to you. Joe, you did a great job at keeping it a discussion, I kept waiting for you to say the wrong thing and this guy lose his shit. Sometimes you just can’t fix broke, but you can still stare at it and scratch your head…🤷‍♀️

I was really lucky to have a grandmother who was a hippy in the 60s and who did not fall into the liberal dysphoria. She recent passed away and was really an amazing person till the end but I think a lot of old people just lose all courage to question anything.

I listened to Jann Wenner on Howard Stern, and I was bored with the interview. I listened on Rogan, and I thought it was a great interview. Rogan is the king, and deservedly so.

Rolling Stone Magazine had a big influence on me as a young teen in the early 90's. My first real introduction to the world of sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Later writers like P.J. O'Rourke and Matt Taibbi helped me realize I wasn't crazy during the Bush and Obama years. I miss the days of MTV and Rolling Stone Magazine being relevant in the 90's.

I listened to this entire podcast, and I will say that these types of people are imprisoned in an echo chamber of thier own making.

I love my Fear and Loathing story. Heard about the book on an episode of Blossom around 1996 and immediately got it from the library, loved it. Just a few months after finishing it I saw Hunter on Charlie Rose talking about the upcoming movie. I told my friends "you HAVE to read this, then see this!" I managed to drag two of them with me opening weekend, we were the only 3 people in the theater. Which would have made us the only ones responsible for the pot smoke in the theater lol. I enlightened two people that day. Thanks, Mayim Bialek lol.

I had a sub when I was 15 years old in the 70s. Couldn’t wait for it to come it the mail. It was a newspaper format publication. It’s so sad what happened to it. I'm so glad Joe said that about wanting something new. It's hard to explain that stealing restaurant signs made sense back then when it doesn't now, except for what Joes said.

The frightening thing about Hunter S. Thompson's political writings is they were seen as paranoid and delusional at the time, but with retrospect he'd pretty much understated things. Also, there is a fine line between genius and crazy. Hunter S. Thompson walked that line about as well as a man in the depths of an ether binge.
