@@arthurbrumagem3844hell nah mate, we need our rifles and shotguns for hunting and getting rid of pests like that pig. Can own handguns, rifles and shotguns. Although it does take a 6 month clearance and background check done by police. Can't own automatic and most if not all semi auto isn't allowed. Gun ranges are allowed to have whatever, I've personally shot guns you can't own at home but can own and store at the range to only be used at the range. Since port arther it's been that way. Our gun crimes are a million times less than of the USA, if the laws weren't introduced it would be much worse. Nowadays most people who'd wield a gun has a knife instead. So most likely to be stabbed than shot. That doesn't mean gun crime doesn't happen in Australia it definitely does.
@equakecs8119
Жыл бұрын
@@CyranofromBergeracnot some areas all states and territories allow the ownership of guns, to own certain styles you need certain exceptions on your gun licence. For example Target shooting you can own 12g shotguns, hunting you can own rifles, range shooting can own pistols. Most people from other countries think we can't own guns, but those people didn't actually listen too the reports on the gun amnesty. When the port Arthur massacre happened they called in for semi automatic and automatic weapons to be turned in, including any weapons you may not need or use. My dad at the time owned a SKS semi auto with well over 3000 rounds from Afghanistan in the early 80s when he went in the navy.

Gorgeous rifle and I’m sure it has served well throughout its lifetime! Ruger I’m assuming? Personally, I have an old Remington 700 that has been handed down over the decades and I can’t imagine shooting anything else. If my boys get the hunting/shooting bug I’d definitely look into getting them a Ruger. Perhaps a CZ for myself and pass down the Remington to them.
