The ring came out awesome! Slipping in the cutenest factor with the little ones there! Your give away idea sounds great, as I've said before, a lot of my cutting is smaller pieces that probably wouldn't appeal to most cutters but I do rings and earrings from them. I tried my hand at inlay and I need to practice more in that area. I have a large piece of black potch that I inlay pieces on then cut out to fit other stones within the stones I've already set. It's something to play with and I learn more with every piece I add to it. Your right about the opal being calming for some reason. I can take my keepers of my rough out and get lost for hours looking at the colors in them. Always find something new in them doing that and it hasn't got old yet.

I like your work Ricky. There is a lot of truth to the opal buying story and interesting point re buying and using lag and not being able to bid. I gave up so many times with the online auctions because of the lag or so called lag. Probably many times people get ignored especially if the stones are going too cheap.

I can't figure out how they get the colors to pop beyond their natural colors. Maybe LED lighting?

Your experience just highlights the experience of most people that know what they actually want to buy when browsing lives. My experience with them same vendors is comparable. I’ve come to the conclusion that certain lives have their own “clique” of buyers and moderators. Plus some just don’t want to sell outside Australia. Maybe they have a bigger return rate or non payment from bidders outside Australia, who knows. And the “Lag” issue is nonsense. I’m long enough working with gaming to know that’s just nonsense. Let’s just put it in the most simplest of terms…..if there is lag in comments, there’s lag in the live stream. You’ll be watching screen tear. Only conclusion is that when there’s not enough regular buyers in the auction, you’ll have no lag. When there’s a bumper audience, somehow your comments don’t get seen and you’ve got lag. Ya sure 👍 The side-discussion groups related to the same live groups are so toxic.

@@OpalOdyssey-ew9gr even asking simple questions seems to get you blacklisted. I’ve had bids “not seen”, usually when asking about customs declaration values in messenger. I know it’s cheeky but I’ve found the best sellers usually accommodate your request. I’ve never found it so difficult to buy something from someone as it is with opal. I’ve got money. I pay instantly. I don’t bombard you with messages about shipment etc. Yet they still mess you around.

I have hopes for defamation of AnK would not be the clause and case. I think a provosionary chance has been given to Kay and Arron. All listed opal sellers in the video have had a chance for restoring your faith, why not AnK. Seems AnK is being listed out of your spite of un satisfactory opal purchases. As a buyer who has given the company a 5 out of 5 its hard to reflect with the observation provided. Had I known know what I did from watching you buy this material I well should have purchased myself. Far from "JUNK OPAL" Something interested you in the pieces from AnK auction. Your accountability as a buyer does understand what you purchased, opal in the rough from lightening ridge and it was one parcel, the rules and statutes with the auction. I know AnK would/will have gladly treat you right and come an agreement if you give them a chance vs the defamation mockery you've appeased with your frustration without adequate opal on the video. Best stick to rubs. It seems rough isn't something you see value in, its forever a gamble as an experienced buyer knows. . A perfect parcel is what you are seeking, this will not be categorized into the dollar value you've stated in this video.
