    Greetings from Nova Scotia. My friend who smokes just came to stay with me. He lives on a very limited budget so I suggested he roll his own. He bought a can of player tobacco, a box of filtered rolls & a single little top one cigarette at a time to roll them with. I tried using the little gadget but think I wasted about 20 rolls, a lot of tobacco and my time. It chewed the papers & crunched the half filled papers. ..and so I began looking at videos. I want to express my DEEPEST GRATITUDE for this brilliant, info packed & very enjoyable video. Thank you soooo much! If you should ever read this may I enquire where you purchase your tobacco leaves? I had no idea that was even possible. I am so very impressed.🙏💙💙

    Thanks, if i had known it was going to be popular, I would have spent some time making the video. i order my leaves from www.leafonly.com. its really cheap compared to buying tins of tobacco. 5 lbs of leaf (canadian blend Robust) is 69.99 USD plus like 80 shipping, and makes about 1700 cigarettes. I also spay the tobacco with corn mint oil to make menthols which are banned in canada. a coarse tobacco shredder is also reqiured. i run them through it twice for the best chop. it is a bit costly to get set up but all the machines pay for themselves after a very short time. everything is available at leaf only. I have bought leaf from 3 or 4 companies and leaf only seems the best. good luck.

    Great video! I bought the PM3 based off of it and also the cig finisher. Love the PM3 but the cig finisher is another story. Before I bought the finisher I use to use a pencil eraser to close the ends which is time consuming and I have arthritic hands so was looking for an easier solution. The finisher is better than doing them all by hand but prolly 3 out of 10 cigs I have to close the end by hand because all it did was roll the cig instead of twist it and it was a loose roll at that. It is also messy, shooting tobacco everywhere. I'm Still glad I got it though and the PM3 is the bomb! (yes I'm that old) lol

    I haven't moved up to the Powermatic III yet. Still rocking the II. Can do a carton in about 1.5 hours. Cost for me is $9 a carton. In our stores a carton is $60-65 US. Put a link to that gizmo that finishes them off. Please. Saves me thousands of dollars a year. And the tobacco is ground but pretty local Virginia or North Carolina grown. Better than store bought. Less stink. No floor sweepings. No additives. Less ash. Just did 5 packs on my PMII .Took 30 minutes.

    Im not sure but I think that it senses pressure in the section that the tobacco packs into. The Feeder will cycle until it reaches the correct pressure setpoint then it will push the tobacco into the tube. Mine will cycle twice (sometimes three times) for each cigarette. If the feeder cycles 10 times without getting up to pressure the "HOPPER" code is displayed. Perhaps you have a faulty sensor or something else electronic on the circut board...Or perhaps its a mechanical problem. How are the cigarettes that you've made? Tight, loose, just right? are they consistent? What tobacco are you using and how is it shredded? are you putting small stems in it? theres just so much to consider. I have made over 36000 cigarettes in this machine with zero issues, and i have never opened it up and cleaned it. Kinda playing with fire , but If it ain't broke, don't fix it. and i have a new machine just in case this one explodes. Remember, I never had any instruction on this and never had to do any research yet. I'm probably way off on how it operates. whew! I hope that helps you get on track.

  • @sixpack634

    I use Players smooth, it's a Canadian brand of cig. They are 84mm long and the filter is 24mm long. i like to put a slight pressure on my tube as its injecting the tobacco to ensure it packs all the way to the filter. if i don't do this, it releases the tube a nano second too early. this causes the pre-measured amount of tobacco to be loose near the filter and leaves it hanging out the other end. its kinda a design flaw. if you hold it on a bit, it packs all the tobacco in perfectly.

Maybe because i use the full density, i will try next time the midd density and hold the tube like you do so I dont have an empty space between the filter and the tube itself. Tell me what is the shredder you use to have this fine cut the electric one at about 140$ ? .. and tks again for this vid Second where are you in CDA and paying almost no tax AB, NB ? Bye

    @Josh R the cost of my cigs is about 5 times less than store bought smokes. i will usually roll about 1000 in a few hours so i don't have to do it very often, there is a bit of a learning curve with figuring out which moisture content is best for rolling. it saves a lot of cash and is more satisfying stripping and shredding leaves and making smokes.

  • @sixpack634

    @sixpack634

    @Josh R oh...well yeah i like the end finisher,i have taken mine apart to clean it once and retighten the screws. i used to get a fair bit of tobacco falling out into the bottom of my pack. this thing just rolls the edge over enough to help this issue. i usually have my tobacco 10 percent moisture which is fairly dry but works well with the machine. its a bit expensive for what it is, you could build one that operates more quietly. it is the 3 plus and i paid 199.99 USD , i don't know what 4 aces is because I'm in canada. i would buy a moisture tester and the machine likes shredded tobacco, not stringy bits.
