I love how you’re not just about technical stuff when you talk skating. You’ve got this skate wisdom, like I’m listening to a therapist :D

Also wear pads when you learn to drop in. You will fall, you will get scretches. They might not be bad, but they will hurt, give you more fear next time and might give you some hard weeks. I wear pads, but I recently couldn't walk for a few days due to impact on my left knee. It was really swollen. If you just start learning (good and fitting) pads make things a lot easier. And yeah, I look like the baby at the local (medium sized) halfpipe. But most other people just sit around doing nothing, while I actually skate, and that's worth it for me.

You shouldn't be embarrassed by wearing pads if your a mature adult.. I'd people give you a hard time it's because their not mature.

Undoubtedly the most useful video I've found - thank you! (that kid happily going "wheeeeee!" in the background though, hahah)
those words about the helmet. truue shit, back in the 90s i keept forgetting it and got smashed. and i was a big vert driver mostly, soo when i crashed i crashed hard. once flew out in a fence and then out into the road on the other side. Just wear the damn helmet for real!!! i was just lucky cause i was about 7 meters up in the air full speed, so lucky to still be able to ride with out drolling

And knee pad-shin guards, forearm guard-elbow pads, wrist guards, a mouthguard or just a helmet with face covering, and then a cup or at least if you’re learning something that you can fall on your balls on, and possibly other pads too.

Great video! Such useful tips for beginners. Dropping in can be super scary, so I'm sure this will help people dealing with that fear. Also liked what you said about wearing a helmet. So true!
34 years old and my daughter wants to skate I haven't skated since the first roces 5th element came out this has actually helped me remember before I go out and splat infront of my oldest 😂 great channel will definitely check the rest of your vids.

I watched your video this morning and then went to the skatepark and for the first time ever was able to get back up the ramps without climbing on my hands! Thanks so much. I feel like a proper blader now.
I watched a lot of your video and I really like the way you talk about "how the brain can control you". It's always a good reminder to know what to focus on. Thank you for all your videos... It helps a lot.
Awesome video mate, love the tutorial about dropping in....take a while to get comfortable committing to the drop in. Am sure you have inspired many people to take up the sport. The inline industry is lucky to have you!!!! Props from Australia!!!!
bro, once again you talk about the mechanics of skating, ive been looking for someone like this for a while :))) love ittt
I'm getting some aggressive inlines next week and this has helped remove some of the fear I had about starting. Thank you.

Thanks - great vid. I'm ok on these skills but very much still a noob so tips like these are really appreciated. Love seeing the experts nailing all the crazy jaw-dropping shit but great to have basic-level visual support like yours too. Keep em coming, I need them! Thanks again 👊
probably one of the most informative videos to what to pay attention to when going up or down a quarterpipe
Thank you for you videos :) I restarted agressive inline now, after a break of 20 years 😊
Thanks mate. That was great.
I’ve been looking for videos like this! Thanks this really helped me with my roller blading!
Great video, I just started rollerblading and this is very informative. I enjoy your honestly about just pushing yourself into your fear.

Spectacular content brother..
Thank u so much!!! This really helped me!!
Again great mental tips for anyone to understand. I've thought a lot about the similarities between pumping up and down ramps and propelling yourself in a swing. I know I recently watched a tutorial where the advice was pushing through your heels or toes depending if going up or down, and I thought it was a great advice on the subject too.
Thank you for making this video as a beginner i found this really helpful
Thanks I have been rollerblading my whole life and cant wait to try ! (:
If there are less people at the park you can also ask a friend to hold your hand for dropping in because it helps to Lean forward and it gives you more confidence 👍(great video)

Cool skateparks.

All I know is "skating is stopping". Braking & stopping is a challenge for me,i can skate more but when it comes to stopping or braking I have a challenge. As long as you can Stop/brake then you have the FREEDOM to move freely on your skates.💯 Am from Kenya. Just resumed skating & I want to focus on it only hoping to be the best in my country 🇰🇪🇰🇪🔥

Great tips looking forward to getting my first aggressive skates this week. Been a Hockey/Rink Rat up to now and midlife crisis'ing my way up.
Your tips are exactly the same Ias what I was telling myself last month standing on a quarterpipe. I'm 38 years old and haven't skated for 22 years. Last month I went to a skatepark on my old Roces Majestic 12 with my 10 year old cousin. I felt like a solid piece of wood but wanted to show her my skills. After 22 years I dropped in a 2 m high quarterpipe and didn't fell. I still got it and it felt so fking awesome! My style was crap and my old skates with 100 kg on top sounded according to my cousin like a jet fighter! I'll show her this video! thnx!
Thanks a lot
You are my hero❤️
Love all these great for a reconnecting skater like myself ps never worn a helmet as a teen now in my mid 30s I owe one ☝️

great video, what kind of skates are those. I love how they look like the Jordan 12s
I was started again after 12 y en fall 2 times verry hard and afraid again but this video helps me a lot
did the plowstop recently in my aeons, the frame touched ground (since your wheels are smaller and the frame is thicker), lost all grip immediatly and fond myself sliding the pads. It were funny but I was pushing my kid in a cart :)
Oh my gosh lol you make it look so EASY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😫
I’ve been blading for 2 years and I learnt the power slide first and I’m learning ramping
What are the best skates to get for starting out I’m a confident hockey player roller and ice but want to get into aggressive
The park looks well built. The parks in Vegas feels uneven alot of vert for a small ramp..
I just learnt to drop in today thanks to ur video!!! I’m too scared to go up the ramp though 😂 do I need to buy aggressive inline skates with the grind blocks? Or can I do it with my ordinary 4 wheel skates to get back up? I’m terrified of getting up there and just rolling back haha
Thanks
just getting back into blading after 17 years. Stoked kinda freaked out. Thanks for the tips

Bro I go to that park in springs this is insane
My man you forgot 'whats up bladeFamm!!' Just wanna say i really learn alot from all your videos and I appreciate you for taking the time to teach the basic! Keep it coming cause i am learning! Thank you brother!

what is the name of the brand of your skates or similar brands with the same structure as what you have but newer year?
I am going to the park tomorrow so scared but hope this works
this vid also explained the phylosophy of life. when its something new or look dangerous, your brains tell you , don't do it. when you want to learn look where you wanna go not where u at.. do something you learn when u were a kid, just push back n go.
I wish I had seen this video earlier... I just yeeted myself into the halfpipe and fell 😂
Havent sropped in since I was 15. Onmy skated parks in the winter growing up . Everything was and still is street to ke. Can grind anything still at 35 years and fat but a little nervous about dropping in again
So i want to go the the skating Park with my friend and skate with her but I have don't know skates are better for tricks. Roller skates or Rollerblades? I have Rollerblades bud I don't know if i should switch despite being in them for so long
Do I need specific rollerblades for a skatepark?
Does this also work with non aggressive inline skates?
Cool vid! I got a rollerblade njr for the kid. Is it any good to drop in or carve with an anti rocker setup?
@acostablades8138

It can be done with anti but youll get more agility and speed with a flat setup
it rly help to know how to power stop tho
Im 40 years old this year and getting back to skating. Idc if i look like a dufus w a helmet, and wrist gaurds, i used to skitch in manhattan on yellow cabs. I hit a huge crater prolly going 50-55 mph and knocked myself unconscious. But anyway, excited to go jump on some rails again. We had to build grind plates to our lightenings 🤣🤣🤣. Ya'll dont know how good you got it. I had the Senate Cnotes... W the Senate Hot Rods... Fuckin Aye lets get it!!!

I'm 38 years old and your reaction makes me smile! Me and my friends didn't knew how to pronounce Senate since we are from The Netherlands but we all wore Senate caps and shirts. Great memories first watching VG4 In our "Senaid" gear and then going to the City center or skatepark thinking we were the next John Julio, Randy roadhouse spizer! I also once fell hard going over a self made ramp with 50 kmh after being pulled by a scooter! Skating was everything to me and last month I went to a skatepark on my old Roces Majestic 12 with my 10 year old cousin. I felt like a solid piece of wood but wanted to my skills. After 27 years I dropped in a 2 m high quarterpipe and didn't fell. I still got it and it felt so fking awesome! My style was crap and my old skates with 100 kg on top sounded according to my cousin like a jet fighter!
