    ❤ the groovy music at the intro! Wish I would have discovered your videos before i made so many mistakes! But to discover you now! I'm in the US and I rode my Rollerblades (Bravoblades) for nearly 30 years but because I was so acclimated to my ABS brakes I never learned so many skills I didn't know I needed (like stopping without brakes😂). I almost bought new Rollerblades but I was not a fan of the tennis shoe soft boot style by Rollerblade and K2 that are the only offering at stores in my area. If this skate was offered I probably would have bought them. Wish you had a store in Denver! Got online and bought FR 2s and sadly immediately stripped an axle, trying to put a brake on. The tool that came with my skates would not get the axle to budge and I ignorantly used a drill with a hex and stripped it. (There was almost no literature that came with my skates) I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet and spend the 50+ for the Seba tool? I'm watching all of your videos and learning so much quickly and excited to be building so many new skills and new terrain to explore. I was staying on riverside greenbelts mostly before. I still haven't got that axle out, but instead, I'm discovering my edges and learning to Soul and power slide and carve deep corners. I may send the brake back. Thank you for your fantastic videos. Peace, and may we not always stay in line but forever inline. Lol. ❤

    I have been using the terra cotta red Rollerblade RB80s since 2019 which uses the same RB boot you reviewed here, they're my favorite skates I've ever used. I've heavily modified the skates and they're just about perfect for skaters like me with wide feet! I've added intuition liners because the stock ones were a little too skinny for my feet, NN Ronin (4x100mm rockered) frames, switched from the plastic 45 degree buckle to the metal rollerblade twister buckle, and heat molded the shells to stop any blisters/pressure points. I also added a foam piece meant for hockey skates in the top of the toes because the toe box area is a little too tall and I didn't want my feet to move around as much. All-in-all I've put hundreds of US dollars into making them just right for me and I think they are completely worth it! I beat them up a lot as an urban freeskater and they have been super durable, I think they will last many more years. Also, I really appreciate the wide M8 bolts holding the frames, they are extremely strong. I even used a 3x125 marathon frame and tapped threads in the rear hole on the heel mounting block to use them for the North Shore Inline Marathon! It was a very rainy skate and I agree with you about the vent holes on the bottom, my feet were soaked by the end but I really appreciate the ventilation on these boots in the summer. To me, these are a do-anything kind of skate. Like urban freeskating? They'll work great. Casual skating on paths? Also great. Distance skating? They're a little heavy, but you can definitely make them work.

    will do one of each and every skate model out there eventually. for sure the crossfire will come. I like to wait a few years to see where a brand is stearing a model to. Now there is only one crossfire and we have no idea what rollerblade has planned. Look at mesmer and how they changed the sizing al of a sudden. Often allot changes in the first few years and I want these videos to be as timeless as possible

    How do you make thread in the aluminum base at the bottom How do you do it?

  • @jakobc1998

    @jakobc1998

    10 ай бұрын

    You need what's called a tapping tool or a thread tapper that's an M8 size. Add a tiny amount of machining oil or penetrating oil to the hole and very carefully start to spin the thread tapper into the hole. Only twist about 1/4 of a turn at a time, then reverse it to clean out the small metal shavings it creates. Keep doing that until the hole has threads all the way down, clean off the oil and metal shavings, and that's it. Also be careful that you have the tool as straight as possible. If you search "how to tap threads" on youtube there are really good videos about it. Also, the threads will not be quite as strong in the aluminum as the hole that rollerblade made with steel threads, so do not tighten the frame bolt down too hard or you could strip the threads out!

    In case of having narrow feet in size about 25.4cm where I can’t physically try on the skates which size should I go for if I were to buy Rollerblade Crusier (neon yellow)? The 25 cm (EU 39) or 26 cm (EU 40.5) ? They’re in between my size…

    thank you very much for the sizing explanations. so basically a 47 is actually a 48 with a smaller liner?

  • @Thisissoul

    @Thisissoul

    3 ай бұрын

    correct. the smaller liner does not do that much for the sizing since it will expand to a size 48 after skating it a bit. more info on that here www.thisissoul.com/blogs/buyers-guide/double-sizing

    Hi - I freaked out a bit when I listened to this as I just bought these as a beginner but have very narrow feet. Just checked the fit again and it feels very snug - phew ! I am a 37 or AU 6.5 so very small foot size - hopefully there will be no give down the line but I think I did get the right boot. Found FR and Powerslide to be wider than RB. I wanted to try the Seba which I thought would be narrower but unfortunately where I live there isn’t a great deal of choice or stock . The RB felt the best on my foot so I went with that and hope I have made the right choice 😮
