What does the term "roll Jordon" mean in this context? I understand it to mean that the Jordan river keeps rolling on by, in the vein of "Old Man River" as a metaphor for the drudgery of life on earth, and a symbol of what must be crossed in order to enter into the promised land (heaven). But in this song it sounds as if the Jordan rolling is a good thing, almost as if the rolling Jordan river brings us to heaven. Confused. Anyone have any insight? Lovely version, btw. :)
