Chris helped me purchase my first Omega Seamaster. Amazing watch. I get compliments on it constantly and wear it everyday. Good points on both sides, however, the last point you guys made of availability was huge. I went to a Rolex boutique and as you guys mentioned, you cannot buy a watch from a boutique or any Rolex store until after you've been on the waiting list and hunt for it. Nice video!

My parents bought me a Seamaster (tuning fork) for 21st in 1971. Great watch but shirt battery life a wee bit annoying. Also gave a similar age second hand Rolex Oyster, mechanical automatic.

Fanboy of both brands, but the one thing that Rolex does better than Omega (and many others) is that they make slim watches. Both of my Omegas are over 13mm. Whereas only the now discontinued Milgauss stood over 13mm (not counting the Sea Dweller and Deep Sea). But for 90% to of their regular production models they make thin watches. Few Omegas are thin. Especially their sports models.

Omega makes watches; Rolex makes jewelry. The advantage that Rolex has over Omega is that not only does their watches look like jewelry in a good way (watches are the most broadly accepted jewelry for men) but they also make an amazing product that can compite head to head to the best watch brands. Omega om the other hand has better pricing, availability and a brand identity that has not been tainted by flexers.

For me its big question, i understand having an AP its difficult cuz of low production, but Rolex with millions of production how all retailers without product? And how they are making money with “just for exhibition “ watches? I have one answer, Rolex have share from grey markets with making not availability in official markets. And they know they can’t sell their watches in AD’s with grey market price

Omega = Classy, subtle, innovation, attracts professional and more well-informed following. Rolex = Simplistic models, tons of fakes and similar looking watches in the market, attracts a following mostly for ostentatious reasons.
