She's a beauty! Got my Deep Sea 126660 about 4 years ago. Still in love with it to this day.

I have the 126660 and never want to take it off! It's like a tank wearing a tuxedo - tough, yet classy! Love it!

Congratulations on finally getting one! I appreciate your palpable excitement as you open your new treasure. I, too, had to wait many years to acquire one. By the time my opportunity came around they had come out with the 126660 which I picked up at my AD at retail. I am fortunate. Your initial impressions mirror mine to a tee - I prefer black to the JC, and appreciate having that model that is a little more obscure/mysterious.This 44mm is the perfect size for my 7.25" wrist, and is so balanced it feels like it's not even there. I had owned a 14060 and the regular SD, but they just felt too small. It's so refreshing having you discuss the real features about a model that precious few know about or appreciate in the Rolex world. Good video, look forward to the next one.

Great video buddy! Just got mine, had a decent amount of automatic time pieces but this is my first Rolex. Love your back story on when you first fell in love with it. I had similar experience.

I got my deep sea recently. I absolutely love it just like the original watch used on the James Cameron deep sea challenge. Out of all my Rolex watches I do love this the most.

Picked up a v serial (2008) couple weeks ago and have not taken it off my wrist! The watch is perfect and took no time getting used to. I removed two extra links and got the size perfect using the glide lock. Thanks for another amazing review, it helped me pull the trigger on this one. Never getting rid of this one, PERFECT daily wearer. Thanks J.A :)

First of all thank you for taking the trouble to make such a cool video. Very film-like. I always felt that tube was the best Rolex and I was never drawn toward the Daytona, also never could understand the crazy price for the Daytona either. The only thing that I was undecided about was the deep blue dial versus this one. But after watching your video I now realize that the black dial is a classic! I’m getting mine either today or early next week. Yes I saved up the money for it!! Again thank you for such a nice video!

I have the 136660 with black dial. It is a absolute masterpiece, I favour the black dial over the James Cameron blue black dial but everyone for there own choices, it's good of the two options, My every day driver, suits all occasions, I've had endless compliments. If you're wanting a watch in the Sea Dweller range on your wrist "136660" is the go. 😊👍🏼

I love the Sea Dweller. I have the first model DSSD-James Cameron and the 50th Ann SD , single red line. I just love both watches. I agree, after wearing the Deep Sea a few hours, you get use to it, can't even tell it's on your wrist. You get totally used to it. Awesome purchase J !!!

I tried one of these on in August of 2019. It was used (2010 model). Wasn't crazy about the size. The next morning my AD called and told me they got one of these watches in. I asked a few people on a forum if you get used to the size. I have bigger wrists. Everyone that owned one said to absolutely go for it. I did and was the best decision I've ever made. I LOVE this watch. The flip lock extension/glide lock is, as you mentioned, a great feature. I find myself staring at the watch all the time. I couldn't wear my sub for awhile. Congratulations and you'll love it

@@mrchow489 Actually Grey. Chrono_store in NYC. I got a great $. Right now they have two 114060 post on their ebay store at just $7.5 K & $8. That is what I paid for it and beginning Summer 2019 and got in trade in Fall 2019. The Deep Sea 44 black are about $9.5k right now as of Fen 1 2020. Happy hunting.

I couldn’t agree with you more on your characterization of the DSSD - engineering pinnacle of Rolex can do; relative rarity of the piece; I prefer the black over the blue for that more classic and subtle look etc. I’ve wanted one for years and eventually bought one in Feb 2017. It’s a daily wearer and 3-years on it still makes me happy when I gaze upon it just like my Panerai 422. I rotate btwn the two, and each one puts a smile on my face. I hope yours gives you years of enjoyment as mine has.

It's something that I will never be able to afford, but hope that you enjoy it Sir, because it's simply magnificent. Thank you very much for sharing your video Sir 👍 Tam.

Awesome watch. Nice unboxing. I'm on the waitlist for a black dial too and they are superb. I actually use mine for scientific diving, so a bit frustrating not to be able to just go into a shop and buy a tool, but there you go. It will no doubt turn up eventually...

I bought the same watch at an AD last year in Bangkok. I was so lucky that it was there for me. As soon as I put on my wrist, 2 people also walked in and asked for Rolex sport model. I was asked to take it off my wrist so I paid without a blink.

Steve Chan I had a similar story in Bangkok expect I was trying on a watch that was someone else that was coming in to pay for it. I paid straight away and I got it before the other person arrived

Great video!! I love your passion about the Deepsea. I share your exact sentiments. I wanted one for 20 years and finally purchased a 2014 model in 2019. By far the best Rolex there is due its uniqueness. Everything you said is everything I love too. I wear mine daily and don't worry about it. Rare, huge, helium valve, ring lock, titanium back, writing on the back, and the Oyster bracelet clasp that is only on the Deepsea. No other Oyster has the same pop up adjustment. And I'm with you on the black face... not much of a fan of the deep blue Cameron face. The black is classic and timeless. Best watch ever!!!!

I got the black deepsea last month from the local AD! the details are mesmerizing.

Congrats. Great watch and thanks for the video. I have the Deep Sea 126660. I love it. I also love the fact the the box is bigger. Rolex has a nice box but the boxes are sometimes a bit small in my opinion. I sold my 114060 submariner for my Deep Sea 126660. Sometimes I regret it because I bought the 114060 at list at the AD end 2018 and the prices did come up. The submariner is beautiful too and so comfy on the wrist. In the end I will buy another sub with a date. I hope this year. The Deep Sea is a stunning watch and I also bought the black dial version because I like it better than the blue version. There is something "real tool" watch with the black dial. The blue dial is more funky but over the years the black dial will never be out of place. I want the sub also because the Deep Sea is big and sometimes too big. It has got a lot of wrist presence and sometimes too much. I can handle the watch because I have a 8.1" wrist so the watch sits perfect on my flat wrist. I wish it was a little bit thinner but it has a reason why it is thicker. Overall I am pleased with the Deep Sea. Sometimes I am thinking about selling it to create funds for the Vacheron constantin Overseas, but until this day and can't do it.

I use mine to time my grilling of my steaks.

Owned 2 DSSDs.. the black and the JC. Unfortunately I could never get over the ‘pebble on a string’ ergonomics so now own the SD43 . The bracelet was very skinny and Rolex obviously agreed as they made the new one wider. That said, the clasp is a fantastic piece of engineering.

I gotta say I love my Rolex Sea Dweller 50th Anniversary (No crown) and GMT Master ll Root-Beer, but this is stunning timepiece as well. Huge congrats sent your way!!!!

I got mine in blue It's just a very very special watch it's heavy but you just enjoy the elegance and the heft so that you know you are wearing something extremely special also super accurate (haven't adjust the time for more than two month)

I owned the D-Blue version of this watch from its release. Wore it constantly, until about 8 months ago. I sold it after not putting it on for 6 months. Great watch, super comfortable, really well made. But it’s very specific.

Nice watch what site you get from and price

I tried this watch on and I think it would work for me, but I’m waiting on the SD43. One thing I might mention is why Rolex decided not to put a lumed hour index at 3 o’clock, especially when the date has no cyclops. What is your opinion?

Hats actually a very nice Sea Dweller. Black really is the best color for a dial, really nice to see a serious looking Rolex, most of there currant line is way too flashy.

A question .... what is it not showing serial number? I’ve seen on a number of video’s but never get the issue......

yeah definitely not a fit for my wrist but can really appreciate the craftsmanship and engineering put into it. also good too see you back and would hate to see you go. but honestly when you spoke about what matters to you now and stuff, I can understand that having going through some stuff recently and waking up to what really matters to me. if you do end up going, its great to hear that you'll be spending it doing what matters to you man!
