Rolex presents: South Face Annapurna (Extended)

Annapurna is considered to be the world's most treacherous yet thrilling mountains to explore. Climbers who have experienced summiting other over-8000 metre peaks are particularly drawn to this majestic mountain, to its unpredictable climate changes and pristine beauty captured in this exceptional film. To climb Annapurna's South Face is to test every last grain of strength, knowledge, and instinct in conditions that forgive no mistakes.

The ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) trek is really not that strenuous I promise you. 5-6 days up and down from Pokhara if you went hard. But also wonderful over 7-9 days. Perhaps the REAL treat - given the time - is to trek around the Annapurna Circuit (taking you around the entire Annapurna massif and leading you to the NORTH side of these mountains. Manang, Pisang etc were like hidden Shangri-Las!

„Victory is living“ can be interpreted two ways: Truly living, being up there climbing, is a victory, even if you end up dying. When the video started, that‘s how I interpreted it. However, at the end of the video, I saw it differently: Turning around and not completing the climb is ok, because leaving the mountain still living can be considered a victory. How did you guys interpret it?
