@Will Harris I agree with him, and I hope the brand crashes. I don't like rolex because of the hype, I just like a few Rolexes. The cheaper and easier to buy them the better. I want a crash.
Just got my Polar Explorer II yesterday from the AD after patiently waiting for two years. It’s my first Rolex and my grail piece. Love it.
This video felt as if I were watching National Geographic or a Rolex advertisement. Unbelievable cinematography & editing. Keep ‘em coming Adrian. We truly appreciate your dedication & skilled artwork.
I love how the content has developed over the years while maintaining an authentic theme and style. It’s obvious how the production has evolved but the most impressive part is how Adrian adapted his vision into every single stage of the channel’s growth. As a filmmaker and watch collector, this channel has been an incredible gift from the universe.
I'm not usually one to comment on videos, but as someone who's been watching your stuff for a few years now, I just wanted to say a big congratulations on getting to where you are today. The quality of your work is incredible and it's genuinely inspiring to see a creator pushing the boundaries of what a watch review video can be.
It’s amazing seeing how this channel has grown. Can’t wait to see more stuff like this in the future!

This video really shows what youtube watch content COULD BE! Love this on so many levels. The specs of a watch are not what make you love it, the experiences are and seeing how you interact with a watch on that level is so much more meaningful. Keep it up!
I think this is the 3rd of 4th time watching this video… by far the best video I’ve ever seen from a watch guru. You’ve not only sold me on the Rolex Explorer II but you’ve managed to transcended the watch conversation into a life conversation. You’re spot-on that there is no perfection in a man-made object, but there can be perfection in the life experience. You’ve shown us that in this video. Kudos!
This is the best you've made so far. Basically it's a short movie about a journey and your watch is your companion. Thanks very much Adrian!

Adrian, my first ever KZread comment and this video moved me to make it! Utterly superb content, sir. A fellow enthusiast and collector who has watched all your videos since you started your channel, I am just so thrilled for you and proud of you continuing to follow and expand on your dreams. Next-level, authentic - amazing. Keep rolling! Best regards from Australia, Andrew.
Always thought this was the number 1 watch channel on YT, and with each new vid Adrian keeps reinforcing that and pushing the limits. Bravo!
Adrian, what a video! Hands down, one of the best videos/content I've seen in KZread. Keep it up, getting Peter McKinnon video magic but with all the B&J vibes that we all love
Watched this while wearing my Explorer II Polar dial. Love the history of this watch and like you said only those who know, know! Great video. Glad to see you explore, no pun intended, the history of this timepiece.
This is the type of watch videos I'd love to see more. Huge development along your journey, please don't stop!
a watch is something that tells the time, until you made memories with it - it's becoming part of you. same thing could be said about my casio f91, probably the cheapest watch money can buy, but I wore them every single day for the past 3 years from travelling to my graduation. it's becoming something of high sentimental value to me. cheers adrian! keep the content coming!
Wow Adrian. You've just set a completely new bar for watch-related content. This could and should be a Rolex-endorsed short film for the explorer II 👏👏👏
Next level edit, dude! Absolutely epic. You’ve been wanting to do this stuff for a while and seeing it come to fruition is so great, Adrian. So stoked seeing it!
Probably your best video to date. Incredible editing, sound, storytelling, and visuals.
Been following this channel for a number of years and I believe I've watched every video since I first joined when there were about 40k members. Love how this channel is grown, love the content! Keep up the great work Adrian!

Top drawer production values, really impressive photography and editing. Hope to see a long form review of the watch itself at some stage down the line too. The variety of content on the page is great.

I agree. Love this channel.
Didn’t expect such an amazing video; thought it was going to be another talking heads watch review, which you do superbly, but this takes it to a whole new level. Completely blown away by this video. I love the attention to detail in the video edits (such as the Rolex clock at the airport). The video left me with an impression that you found the Explorer’s natural habitat. Your passion for that watch really shone through, and I could feel it, it’s infectious. I’m a non-Rolex owner from Melb, Australia.
Man, the beginning of this video is literally my way to work every morning, going to Geneva. Talk about reaching out to your viewers emotionally. And that's what luxury watches are all about, creating emotions and, as you said, memories. The Explorer 2 will be my first Rolex which I will receive for the end of my apprenticeship in watch and jewelry sales. I'm looking forward to creating more memories with this timepiece.
Beautifully done Adrian! Watched it with my BB Pro on wrist. I have the same sentiments about my old Explorer II… but now I’m starting to make new memories with what has now become my daily… the BB Pro. Can’t wait to see the next video… you have set a high bar my friend! Cheers!
This is incredible Adrian. I love how you share about how you feel with the watch and it is surely something i look forward to seeing more ! It really steps out from the normal watch review videos !
Hi Adrian ! Just wanted to say I went out to buy the same explorer and I bought the exact same strap from you. Now I have the exact same setup as u. Wonderful and love it !
This could have been 60 min long, superb content. Been here from the first video till now, has been a treat to follow your journey
amazing video and oh man this is making me miss my polar explorer II 216570, but if only they made it 40mm again😁thankfully my Black Bay Pro filled in that gap, hope you're doing a video on it soon!
Really looking forward to this! This looks *very* worth the wait 👍🏼 Watches AND mountains in one episode 😍
Always enjoy your videos because your content is so real and down to earth. Your personal stories make it more fun!
The editing, music choices and camera work are top notch. One of your best videos so far.

Wowza. I still remember when you did your first video mate. You've come a long way. Well done.
Hello Adrian, having the ability to corporate partner and not having to compromise your vision is great! The outdoor content and your Explorer a part of you. Nice to see you keeping it 100!
I own a 16570 polar dial and love it to death! I still remember when the AD practically begged me to buy it in 2010. 12% off retail too! For me the new Explorer 1 124270 is the do it all Rolex. It really is so good and just flys under the radar. I find the modern Explorer 2 126670 - to be a little too much for my wrist at 42mm but that is really a matter of taste.

Do you remember the retail of it back in 2010? I want to say it was around $6500US but can't remember for sure. Anyway, my story. I sold my (2nd) 16610 Sub date almost 2 and a half years ago after I finally realized I did not enjoy wearing, and also that the watch I really wanted to get was the 16570 Polar and not another 16610. I paid $4100 US for that Sub back in 2011 and I sold it for almost 7k thinking of getting a Polar 16570 after a little while which at the time was selling for around 5-6k all day long. With horror I saw the prices kept going up for the last couple of years and although they are now going back down I don't see myself paying 9-10k for that watch. I do want the transition piece mind you with the 3186 movement and scrambled serial which is more expensive than one with an 3185 movement and no rehaut. We'll see what happens, but I'm also interested on the 226570 but I highly doubt it will wear as sweet as the 16570. I really wished Adrian elaborated more on the wearing experience of both watches when compared to each other.

@@rnunez70681 retail on the 16750 was $5925 and I got 12% off for a net cost of $5214. The Sub was $6000 even. I debated between the 2. I now have the Sub-C and the modern Explorer 1. I wear the Explorer 124270 about 98% of the time. My 16570 is the 3185 model wo rehaut engraving. It was a wedding gift from my wife.

I've been working as a journalist and travel writer since I graduated college in 1986. So I can fully understand the urge to produce videos like this one. Just like you It took me a few years of hard work, to get others (magazines and publishing companies) to fund my travels. But it was worth it. Glad to see things are working out for you. PS: I like the Explorer II but prefer the black dial.
Adrian, I watch all types of watch content on You Tube, but this video was really something special. I happen to really love the Explorer 2, but where you took us was an unbelievable journey. It was all well done but the caves were incredible and I have not seen them shot like that before your video. I am a subscriber and enjoy all of your photography as well as reviews but this video was another level. Thanks again for taking the time to do this and know that your work is much appreciated. Stephen
Hi Adrian amazing content as always! Also how did you overcome the issue with the size of the 226570? I only ask because in a previous video couple years ago when you tried the also 42mm 216570 you felt it was far too large

That opening sequence was outstanding! Love this channel!
Beautiful video Adrian, brings back lots of memories skiing in those mountains. I have both an Explorer and an Explorer II, but, truth be told, when I go ski mountaineering, I wear my trusty Tissot T Touch. Why? Because it tells me altitude, very handy when navigating up high. I've yet to find a mechanical watch with that complication. Keep up this great work.

@@SinnerAndSaint Hi Dan, I should have said "suitable" mechanical watch. I looked at the Oris a while ago; way too big (47 mm!), and you have to choose between English and metric units, can't do both; not so good when you ski mountains on both sides of the Atlantic. Tissot T Touch (original version) still wins for me.
If your reading this, I hope you get the watch of your dreams and wear it in good health for many years to come! I love you! 🤙🏼
The best video you and your team have ever made. The dynamics and videography are really fantastic. Even your choice of audio brings a sense of excitement and purpose which is really hard to do. The watch, as someone who also owns a 226570 is my favourite Rolex. There is something warm and almost emotional about this piece. I can’t put my finger on why, but I don’t get that feeling with any of my other Rolexes. Keeping making content like this, it really shows the best of your personality and passion for horology, photography and exploring the world and your own tastes. Stay safe, stay healthy and give us more epic content like this!
The video is next level. It’s a blend of adventure, great cinematography, and the love of watches. Nice job.
This is a fantastic short film. I can’t help but feel the memories are the places we go, the things we do, and the people we share it with - not the watch we had on. You’d have had the same lifetime experience with a Casio / Hamilton / Seiko on your wrist. And those brands would be equally capable for thousands less - so more money for more adventures! As a viewer though this was great, more of the same please 😆.

Epic video Adrian - this is the kinda shit I love to see! Not a boffin at his desk scouring over the techs and specs while handling a watch with a felt glove on, but an explorer out in the raw elements with a tool piece as his companion. Testing the limits of what these watches were actually designed for. Bravo!
Beautiful video and videography, Adrian! Loved loved loved this new video. The format, what you talked about and the depth that you allowed your viewers to get to know your thoughts around this piece- simply superb. Beautifully done!

absolutely fantastic video -- stunning shots. Especially that last shot. Captures exactly why I love the 16570 Explorer II
OUTSTANDING cinematic content, Adrian! Really enjoyed this video, you stepped it up to a whole new level. I appreciate your hard work.
I’ve wanted a Rolex for years but you just can’t get them from an AD. I managed to find a dealer in St Thomas and bought one. It was pre owned but never worn. I probably paid $5000 more than waiting 5 years for a new Rolex from an AD but I’m happy. I love it and it makes me feel good.

Love this video. Really captures the what is sometimes hard to communicate about our passion for watches.
What a great video. Adrian really pushed the Explorer II to its limits and beyond! We need more of this kind of footage!!!
It really is a tremendous watch. I have the black dial version and I too wear mine every single day. It gets more wrist time than any other Rolex I’ve owned and I never tire of catching a glimpse of it. Things I love about it: GMT function Aesthetics/Design Wearability Versatility Not a thief magnet Affordability Size Reliability Things I don’t like about it: Nothing If you want a one watch collection, this really is as good a watch as any to be that watch.
