Great Demo. These are still relevant boards with great onboard sounds. The acoustic samples simply sound like they were done with different mics and at different distances. Most real acoustic pianos sound very different when mic’d anyway. I have the Px5s and it’s a great lightweight board with great sounds and great for gigging.

AS A PIANO TUNER I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT CASIO RESONANCE CLOSE TO THE ORIGINAL ACOUSTIC PIANO. WITH THE MOST AFFORDABLE PRICE, I THINK CASIO IS THE WINNER.

All sounds beautiful, just matter of personal taste

All three sound great but Kurzweil will be my pick.

Acustic Piano wise, both 300NX and Forte are far better than Casio... Between Kurz and Roland, it is a matter of taste but quality seems to be even. Casio of course has a neat p/q ratio, but I have really impressed with their new hybrid technology collaborate with Bernstein. I am looking forward to see the new stage piano model implementing those new sounds by Casio.

Wow! Nice Demo! All the pianos sounded great but I believe all have their strong point... The Roland grand piano could be used more Epic plays,while the kurzweil and Casio got the funky groove! Nice one Bro

I have a Casio PX 560, great sounds, synthesizer, light, speakers, rhythms and a super LCD screen which turns easy to do splits, layers, etc! Tenho um Casio PX 560, ótimos timbres, sintetizador, leve, falantes, acompanhamento, e uma super tela de LCD que facilita em muito fazer splits, layers, etc!

Casio sounds most like an acoustic grand. Kurzweil is pretty good. The Roland sounds like a poorly-sampled facsimile of a piano.

In fact, all the hardware in these synthesizers same. But samples recording technology greatly affects the timbre of the sound.

Na comparação dos três , pude perceber uma nítida expressividade do piano casio px5s, mesmo alguns sons não sendo tão bons , mesmo assim , são mais vigorosos e brilhantes , o piano é excelente...a Casio encontrou o caminho certo parabéns...

Jade Pascual I agree, kurzweil, Yamaha, Roland, Kawai and the rest should focus more on making stage pianos that are lightweight with tons of sounds, vital for the gigging musician.

The defferences price range between these 3 keyboards is slighty so far especially for casio and another 2 keyboards. Very..very affordable price keyboard is only casio.

kurzweil : most natural and realistic piano sound. casio : resonate well and warm roland : nice but hollow sound and terrible EP

I really have to say with all honesty that Casio sounds really great here! I have been in music for many years and have owned Roland, Korg, and Yamaha flagship keyboards. Casio has come a long way when they introduced the Privia series. I have been getting ready to buy a new Roland RD 300, however I am most likely going to buy the new Casio Flagship the PX-560, which has the same acoustic piano sounds as the PX5S. I do have this stigma in regards to Casio always being a "Toy", But my hat is off to what they have been doing lately, with 256 polyphony and a piano that sounds this good.... Well what more can be said???

Mike, I'm the same. The PX5s is the one for me, this week as it happens. It isn't a toy. And if other musical people think that it is, the sounds engine should prove that it isn't.

+Jim Vives "ROIBE" Benidorm A continuous pedal into the PX-5S it will not work. That connector is on/off .The pedal jacks on the PX-5s are not designed for a continuous controller pedal.

Casio. Because the price and possibilities!

I think the differences between the 3 are more in line with mic choices and placement and EQ. Clearly the Kurz needs some help. If it were an acoustic grand I would say a change in mic/location/EQ needs to be made. The other 2 are similar and really would be left up to taste

Casio muy natural aunque tenga menos tecnología suena más clásico ☺☺

Tive o Casio PX560 e a 6ª oitava dele soava muito estridente, me incomodava. Tive o RD 300 nx e seu som de piano, o mais importante, era muito abafado, mas suas teclas melhoraram muito em relação ao GX. O que mais me agradou é o piano da Yamaha linha CP.

A linha CP da yamaha É superior mesmo. Ainda não testei, mas acho que os Casio PX-S deram uma melhorada interessante nos agudos (embora pra mim já fossem ótimos na linha PX).

tive um Casio PX560 e depois o PX5s seus pianos me incomodavam na sexta oitava e suas teclas são muito barulhentas. Tive o RD300 NX achando que o SuperNatural seria fantástico e foi... uma fantástica decepção. Vendi ele em 3 semanas! Seu piano é bem natural mas muito abafado, por mais que use seu super equalizador, não desfaz o abafado. O RD300 GX não tem um bom teclado mas seus pianos eram mais agradáveis! Hoje uso um Yamaha CP33, foi o melhor piano até agora! Tb tive o Yamaha S90xs, mesmo nível de piano que no CP33, mas muito complexo de se usar e caro só pra usar um timbre de piano acústico, elétrico com mais um string ou choir!

Apartir dos 2:50 o volume do Casio px 5s abaixado para destacar os dois pianos concorrentes!!!

O volume foi alterado sim, mas tive a impressão que o Casio estava mais alto desde o início e, quando foi ajustado em 2:50, ficou mais baixo que os outros dois. Na minha opinião o Casio tem "acústica" bem mais agradável.

I like the casio, great hammer action and feel, good sound for the price, but I can not imagine how can you hear it better than the artis se: deeper, organic and much more lifelike... Maybe your speaker or headphone not too transparent. Strange.

László Schetl , i have a Byerdynamic DT 770 pro headphone and also hear the Casio as best. So obviously itis a matter of taste. Every acoustic piano also has a different sound, and where one may like a Yamaha someone else hates it and likes a Bechstein.

Nos anos 80 a Casio era uma concorrente , da Roland , Yamaha , e Korg ... Mais a Casio se desepsionou muito e saiu do mercado professional de sintetizadores, Uma das empresas ( Yamaha ) usurpou um dos efeitos de sintizes da Casio , e colocou em um dos seus sintetizadores ( DX-7) causando uma disputa judicial , infelizmente a Yamaha ganhou , e a Casio frustrada saiu do mercado professional , e daí por diante a Casio só fez teclados para o nível iniciante e intermediário. Infelizmente a Yamaha nãofez jogo limpo né!!!

Casio: el piano tiene más resonancia y suena más natural ( por el tema de volumen sí tenés buen oído te darás cuenta que la diferencia en el cuerpo del sustein se siente mucho mejor en el Casio). Tiene más presencia no solo en los pianos. Y para los que se quejan de la sexta octava, cosa que es verdad, se puede corregir fácilmente ecualizandolo en tiempo real. Kursweil: le falta cuerpo a la resonancia y tiene mucho brillo a la vez, no es buena combinación. Pero el piano aún así suena natural. Roland: Algo no me cierra en su resonancia, si bien tiene cuerpo para mi gusto tiene como un warn de transfondo lo que le quita naturalidad al piano. Mejor pX5, Artis y por último el Roland. En cuanto a costo el Casio también gana por mucho.

A Casio não tem profundidade no som ... tem pouca ressonância, efeito do martelo não existe. Mas para quem conhece a CASIO é sim, uma grande evolução.
