I'm thinking the same, I love the Yamaha birch and solid hardware but not sure yet. The extra 8 " Tom and nicer finish/ hardware appointments makes this one hard to pass on

PDP nicer looking nicer sounding than stage custom. Design series nicer looking better sounding than tour custom.

they seem to be stock heads; so the equivalent of Evans G1 or Remo Ambassador

Depends what part of the world your living. I would highly recommend this kit as it has 3 Tom's and 2 floor toms so you can set it up for anything you need
