Anyone tried reign of the dead on rogue? I was wondering if instant poison crits would cause you to gain motes

I've had a 93 on anub so far but that's what i do. 5 stacks, evenom, and then spam fok unltil the envenom proc is gone and then return to single target. Ignore it completely in phase 3 and just focus anub

Note to add for Icehowl: If you vanish the knockback and you get targeted, boss won't charge to the wall but instead to the location where you're standing when he starts targeting you: this is a massive dps loss for the raid since everyone needs to get closer. Tank will also need to get him back to the wall. 1 in 25 chance and it happened to me twice so far, my guild wants me to stop vanishing the knockback Sadge

If everybodys knocked back to the edges of the room, wouldn't the boss landing in the middle of the room be closest to everybody? Obviously if everybody's landed on the same side, crashing into the wall would be ideal though.

This happened to me yesterday and I personally think “we should NOT do the vanishing(in most occasions).” It might look like a DPS increase but most of the time it wouldn’t be. ONLY do it if you have a trustful tanker. When you vanish and if the Icehowl targets you, it kind of looks at you wherever you move by turning it’s head to a certain point(the point until he jumps back to charge). You might be able to dodge it easily since you’re freely moving and damage dealing. Then the Icehowl heatbutts to the location where you were standing(probably the position would be in the middle) and gets stunned eventhough there is no wall. Some might say “it’s stunned in the middle, in the same range for everyone, isn’t that good?” Eventually it would be a DPS loss for most occasions because if the tank isn’t aware of the MAX MELEE RANGE, tank would be knocked back causing out of range for some casters and melees on the other side. I won’t recommend if the tank doesn’t know about max range but if your tank knows it, why not? Oh and one more thing… someone needs to skin Icehowl when it’s down

I will add this note to all you people who play Combat on Anub'arak (even though this is 2 months in). Tricks the tank and go nuts at the start of the fight, but wait for adds to come, then blade flurry. You're likely to have one submerge phase, and it will take about 3-4 minutes before you reach phase 3 anyways. You can Squeeze 2 Killing sprees in Phase 1 if you use it asap after pulling as well as having it right back up when he unsubmerges. (that is if you use the killing spree glyph which you should be anyways) Also, very gross misconception about Phase 3 IMO, Since you pop hero at the moment anub starts casting leeching swarm, you have 3 seconds before he finishes the cast and then it takes time before your health is chipped off. Your most valuable 15 seconds of dealing damage will be before you drop below 30% of your health anyways, and with seal of light keeping you at about 15-20% there isn't much time you spend without Prey on the Weak (but make sure your paladin keeps it up, our raid usually has our ret paladins go OS so they forget)

what glyph do u use for combat ?

Now with the new feint changes is it worth to get a glyph like vigor in its place? or is it still a good option to use?

Wound poison is as effective as it says. If you don't have anyone else in your raid applying a healing reduction debuff on Anub in phase 3, like a hunter or warrior (lol), then I think you should consider it (unless your raid is already going through p3 very easily I suppose). It makes a pretty big difference.

Use Wound and crippling/mind numbing poison for Faction Champions. Currently, some type of healing reduction (ideally a hunter) is very necessary on Anub'arak phase 3 especially if you're doing the heroic version (unsure if it's as necessary on normal mode)

@@do__ob Even if they're doing P3 easily, by applying wound you'll effectively be doing as much damage mitigation as half your raid is doing as damage. It won't show on parses or meters but it's better to be a good raider than it is a number on a site. That said, even the top parsing guilds still apply healing debuffs. It's better for everybody's parse if the fight ends sooner.

If you are targeted with the charge he will still launch himself backwards and ram his head into thin air wherever you were standing when he picked you as his target

What is that rotation weakaura?

Maybe we did it wrong, but we did the multi-rogue FoK strat with three rogues and we all did debuff MH and deadly on OH, I am hearing Simon saying it doesn't really matter though and the Deadly Poison tooltip also seems to indicate it doesn't matter the order ("also causes the poison on the Rogue's other weapon to apply"). I know for me as combat I always do deadly on OH, not sure if it matters for Assasshats.

what is the addon for the combat point meter? and the one that shows u what abilities to use :)

It will be 100% viable. Simming higher than combat right now, even. Combat has an easier BIS weapon to get (comes from Heroic Loot ship) but that's about it.

Wonder if druids can use shadowmeld like how rogues vanish on icehowl?

I doubt it - vanish has basically 'immunity frames' in it - while shadowmeld is overall a differently working mechanic. While shadowmeld does put you in stealth - its more of a priest fade than a rogue vanish.

Can some brave soul test what happens if you killing spree right before the Icehowl charge?

Corrections: #1 Damage absorb effects like Power Word Shield / Valanyr proc still get "used up" when you take same-essence damage, but they do not reduce the number of stacks of Powering Up that you gain. All other information about damage reductions and resistances still is correct. #2 Mind Number Poison is only 30% casting speed reduction, not 60% like it has been in previous versions of WoW.

You will loose the Damage Buff if you cast Cloak.

So you dont think Mut + BF is ideal for the last boss? I know you mentioned combat spec/prey on the weak.. but that doesn't impact Mut+BF. With multiple opportunities to cleave on the adds, would it not yield more DPS than standard mut?

im generally assuming you can let your DKs, Fire Mages, and other classes with hyper-efficient cleave effects handle them. prioritize maximum damage to the boss.

Even if it resulted in more dps due to add cleave, the only part of the fight which matters is P3. Parses don't matter tbh, killing the boss does, and that's likelier to happen if you're prioritizing the part of the fight which matters.

used to be that way, it was a bug, but it is fixed now. you can safely cloak without worrying about losing dmg buff

@@SimonizeShow that's what i thought too.. when it charged me (post vanish) it was fine, same as your clip stunned in the middle. It was the ones after the vanish charge that went awry (but very possible in my guild people just didn't dodge ^^ ) - but have heard it can bug it
