Ann Harda made a really good point about this version of Cinderella being respectful of all 3 versions that came before this version because I feel that this current version is very much an homage or love letter to the previous TV musical versions that came before it, but it speaks to contemporary audiences

Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella has always been my most favorite version of the story, with Leslie Ann Warren. The music is sooo beautiful and this cast does such a wonderful job! Really LOVE Laura's voice!!! Beautiful! She has an awesome vocal talent! ...the perfect person for the role of Cinderella...also because she's such a nice person. God bless her!

Watching the videos of Santino online all you can think about is that he's just this big adorable goofball, but watching this just reminds me how eloquently he speaks. All of them are just amazing!

There's another performance on KZread at the Barnes and Noble event :) They also sang Stepsister's Lament and Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful there!

I love Santino Fontana's comments. So intelligent! So insightful! His voice! I could go on and on.However, I take umbrage to Harriet Harris' remark at 38:33 about an audience member saying she "struggled" with something in the show. (And then implies, get a life) When actors say that type of thing, they are dismissing the very reason why art is so important. It conveys something....some emotion, some experience to an audience member that moves us to a point that IT DOES MATTER. To discount that person as not having a life hits me the wrong way. What is the point of art if not to share the human condition? And what is more important than that???!! I don't think she meant to be insulting but it was. And frankly without the audience, none of these people could live off of their art.

I *love* Laura Osnes and binge-watch any- and everything- I can find that includes her. Can find online virtually NO full productions featuring Laura (Broadway or elsewhere; KZread or elsewhere.) Please feed my addiction. Links please!

Anything Goes has it's full show on KZread of Laura as Hope! Just look up Anything Goes and the video with the picture on the video screen is the revival she was in. I think Bonnie and Clyde is on here... Also, the entire show of Grease is on KZread. I don't remember how I found it but it's somewhere on here! Good luck!

This woman SOUNDS like a Disney singer/Princess. Perfect and believable in every way! Disney must be rolling in his grave. Carly Rae Jepsen replacing this amazing woman?????????Yikes! That's like giving a Hard rock singer, a role for a opera that they are not trained for.That is so sad!

Disney did not produce either of the first two television versions of "Cinderella". He produced the earlier animated film version of " Cinderella". Rodgers and Hammerstein were responsible for the first television version of "Cinderella", and the 2nd TV version of " Cinderella" was produced by Rodgers in 1965 after Hammerstein died in 1960.

I was doing something else while listening to this and distracted and heard Santino talk about Ted and Robin first getting together at 24:00 I thought he was talking about HIMYM - and then I got excited thinking that Santino may have been on an episode... but know wasn't talking about that at all...

It's really nice seeing & hearing these informal performances--thanks. Please do more of these focused on theater pieces (not just musicals). I've only watched the 1st 15 min.s or so, but I already have a little understanding of why tripleg719 made that comment re. the interviewer. I'm sure his heart's in the right place.

Santino reminds me a lot of Zach Levy, if you've ever seen a Nerd HQ panel, you know what I am talking about :)
