I heard a wonderful story about him once..He was at a film viewing at the BFI i think and this guy and his wife were in the audience listening to him during the Q/A section and they had to get hom as the evening was running overtime they left and as they went through the exit door Roger Moore caught up with them and said he was sad they were going and sorry the evening had been running late..they could not believe he had left the Q/A section just to catch up with them and say sorry..that story alone shows he was a beautiful man..(on the inside and outside)

I met him in Cambridge on his tour of the UK and you can be sure we all loved him a lot. He had a right to be a little smug: like Michael Caine and Sean Connery his two mates he had come from a quite humble beginning and people forget his 1950s Hollywood career never took off and it was not until the 1960s TV series 'The Saint' it did. He was the first to admit he was not the greatest actor, though watch his British film 'The man who haunted himself'. An icon of my life and a deprecating humourous gentleman. I wish he had lived in the UK, his home.

He looked very good in the 70‘s and 80‘s. I‘m just 40 years old but i can remember as a child how much i loved the bond movies with him, because of that special Kind of humour, his ironic smile and i loved that Lotus he was driving in ‚for your eyes only‘ Kind regards from Germany

no, he probably meant the upgraded lotus in FYEO - there was the white one, which gets blown up and the red one. Admittedly, they were just for show in FYEO unlike in Spy. I managed to get a photo standing next to teh red Lotus in FYEO at the London premiere of FYEO (my claim to fame!)@@user-oc5xt7nl7e

I always preferred Roger Moore as Bond , he always played it with a wink and never took it seriously pure entertainment , Connery for me was great but a bit of a snob to Rogers Movies
