Up there with Federer's best ever forehand performances.

Federer played some of his best tennis ever in this tournament after he survived the Andreev 4th round match.

This forehand is such a thing of beauty! Also fun fact: Federer and Nadal never played a single match at the US Open.

Who would have thought this would be Federer's last US Open.

I feel for Andy in most of the GS finals, I am glad he won three - somehow 🥰

rog's forehand in this match was undoubtedly the best version in any of the GrandSlams he's won in his entire career.

2008 was not Federer's best year but it's still a scary version compared to anyone

Beautiful.

Nobody could touch prime Federer. When he was on he was a force. Federer won most of his GS with Novak, Nadal and maurry playing. Even out of Federer prime he scared them. He might of not been this consistent anymore but he was still hard to beat and because is so good he won still not playing his best

One of his best slam performances, especially given that it came on the back of losing the number 1 ranking after many years and some pretty average form in 2008.

same thing with the jordan lebron debate. Most points is a great feat but how many seasons did it take bron to do it? you can have 100k points or 50 slams but if you've been doing it for 50 years, well yeah any great athlete can do that.

Murray had a winning h2h vs Roger when this match took place and kept it till 2010, Novak beat him in AO that year in 2008 and beat him before the 07 USO final so how does that work ? You're knock Roger for beating guys in finals who were already getting winning against and Novak that had already beaten him in a slam? make it make sense
