    素晴らしい動画ありがとうございます。 一方で、近くにいる日本人女性がポイント中もずっと喋っていて観戦マナーが悪く、同じ日本人として本当に恥ずかしいです。

Thanks for this post. It's really nice to view @ court level. It reminds me of the older days when the networks used to televise court-level more. Plus, it's nice to view a raw amateur video without all of the commentator jibber-jaber. rgds.

i love this view. just noticed that bc Roger hits ball so early like a half volley that he often left shots short and gave Novak time to take full swings and deep placement that kept Roger on defense a lot of the time. wondering if he should have taken a step further back during rallies for deeper shots

you are not that right. Taken the ball early is a key point of aggressive playstyle. roger is that kind of aggressive player. you need to understand, that when you take the ball that early, you take automatically time from your opponent. Pro Players, erverybody with a specific expirience in tennis, are taking the ball "early". in that point before the ball reaches his highest point. If you able to take the ball more earlier, you bring a lot of dynamic in the game. Think of it, you hit a ball with your full motion, needs to come back to do a split step, then your opponent took the ball already. That rogers hits a lot of shorter balls is correct and Djokovic were able to get pace of it. But at this point, you have to be very good. Rogers Style is absolutly unreached Masterclass. To take the ball(s) that early you must have an incredible footwork an technique. Of course you could stay a bit further back, better preperation and so on, but at the same way your opponent has that time to. Try and train yourself to take the ball as early as you can, of course not a volley or drivevolley in average. Staying on the Baseline and step IN to the ball. Thats the whole idea of it. You dont want to loose any time (we speak about parts of a second) but this is enough in tennis. Further on, the attacking to the net, serve n volley i.e. is the top of this. __ this is also a problem on clay. Clay reduces the speed an pass of the ball natuarlly.

@@pyrofeaks I agree in general that it works with most other players, including Nadal. I am a fan of taking the ball early. However, this strategy was not successful with Novak later in his career. His shots when taking the ball early did not have enough pace or depth to trouble Djokovic
