Funny to see a great tennis pro is funnier than an alleged pro comedian. Noah is just about nauseating.

"We're shooting a commercial with Roger Federer and Trevor Noah!" "Yeah, but the train has a schedule!" - nothing more Swiss than this!

I absolutely love Rodger! He is such a dear, caring man and is so kind to everyone. I've watched him as he played tennis and even when he lost he was so gracious to the winner. I think he would make such a fabulous tour guide! He certainly inspires me to want to go to Switzerland and check out all the beautiful things there. I wish you and your family all the best Rodger, you are an inspiration to us all! ❤

Hi, I didn't travel there as a person of colour 😮🙀. What is this obsession with colour, or how does a particular group perceive you? I have been travelling around the world for well over a decade, and I have never once travelled as POC, so in that regard, I don't know. However, my experience travelling as a person, especially to Switzerland, has been nothing but a joy 😁. Beautiful people, food, culture, name it.

Lovely seeing the rapport of these 2 popular people together....Roger's mother is South African...oh ja, both of their mothers...😂 as I am, living in Pretoria. 🇿🇦🇿🇦Lovely experiences when we did a Rhine Tour from Ansterdam to Basel, Switzerland, and spent another 10 days, living up on the mountain slope overlooking the lakes at Interlaken...Zermatt, us all in a bus on a low-bed train entering Zermatt...fascinating. a part of God's beautiful creation. Thank you Roger & Trevor for your easy-going friendliness together 👏🤝🙏

I did those train journey many times! It is amazing!

The last time I skied in Zermatt was in 1975 with my younger brother. Some day I hope to return with him to relive the experience. Although, we were young then, and now...not so much. Zermatt was such a special place then, I imagine has changed a bit; but, still amazing. The last time I was in Switzerland was about a decade ago, and Zurich was still amazing.

I’m moving to the Canton of Vaud in a few days’ time. Can’t wait! 🇨🇭😄

I quit my job during the pandemic and moved to Switzerland to finish my doctorate. I'm seriously considering staying here. They're not joking about the importance of the trains. The public transit - it's truly transformative in how I live day to day and for leisure time. (And yes, the punctuality of the transit is just unbeatable. I appreciate that I won't miss my connection even if the GOAT Herr Federer is on the train. :D) It delights me to see the Federer Express tram in Basel now and then.

I discovered hiking for myself when I was first time in Switzerland. I was supposed to be a small walk before dinner, but I couldn't stop myself getting higher and higher, because the clouds always looked so near. At some point I realized that without, water, sunscreen and dinner in an hour, I have to go back. The decent is always harder than going up. But I catched the hiking bug at Switzerland and it made me so happy. Plus the food.

How handsome is Federer? I don’t see it said enough. On top of being a true gentleman, classy and imo the 🐐…dude is very handsome.

They are both Swiss and South African. If I am not mistaken, Rogers mom is South African.

Always a good idea to visit Switzerland. Even if our South African currency is useless against the Swiss Franc we just make the most of the beautiful scenery. The Swiss Travel Ticket was fantastic value and the transport super effective.

One of the first experience I had in Switzerland was that my family and myself were waiting on the bench for the tram. We had no idea we were waiting on the wrong side as there was no bench on the other side of the small grassy track. The tram arrived and there was no door on our side so we immediately ran to the other side and the tram guy closed the door and left without us.

We have had some bad experiences there as South Africans😅 1. It was a bit stoic and clinical; 2. There is a bit of a lack of activity venues and attractions like other EU destination; 3. We were harassed by border authorities whilst transiting through Zurich over a minor Schengen technicality and were badly treated; 4. It is expensive as one would expect; 5. It is a bit more conservative than other EU countries. However I am just listing some experiences, I am sure given another chance I would make better experiences there that would rectify these bad ones I have had!

You‘re not incorrect. The SRF recently has been focused on the lack of openness, conservative ways, and racial profiling that happens in Switzerland. It’s a tough subject for the Swiss to speak about, as it can bring upon shame, embarrassment, etc., and they don’t want that kind of attention...but continuing to try and pretend and hide what does happen to many foreigners, and those with color won’t work. It’s a work in progress.

I didn't quite catch that. Just to hear him say Rösti was enough to make me chuckle. I have two biracial daughters and they use some of my childhood expressions without knowing what exactly they are referring to. They put confi on their Schnitteli and say merci viumau and schlaf guet as a matter of course. Being half Swiss entitles them to a Bettmuempfeli of Schoggi every time!!!
