I meant to type that I strongly recommend buying a carving glove and safety glasses. Would also recommend looking into a carving club in your area. You can try doing a Google search for a club. I plan on making more videos but its tough finding the time right now - my next one will be on sharpening a carving knife. Safe carving - Joe

If you like to use a wash use one drop of paint and ten drops of water it will give you a really good wash

Awesome tutorial! I think you really have a talent for creating these. I would like to start whittling but I don't know where to start. Do you recommend any whittling kits for beginners, or maybe a specific brand? Thank you and keep the videos coming!

I really like PFEIL Swiss made tools (woodcraft sells), the Richard Butz carving knife (Woodcraft sells) Helvie carving knives and also like Flex cut tools. Flex cut sells carving kits or you can purchase a couple tools to start whittling and then add to your collection as you move onto different projects. Could you do a video on how to wood carve a small hat or a ln easy boot. I have just started whittling (carving) and i would like to do something like that as a start. :D
