That will really depend on you. iOS is the most stable and optimized OS for phone, but. It does not have the perks of shoulder button, and ROG accessories. So you should know what is more important for you. Personally, I'm not a fan of iOS though. It is the most stable OS but it does not have a lot of options, and iOS is so strict in a lot of things. In Android, I feel that I am more free to do anything.

@@michaelmike8411 Consider these... - Have you ever seen anyone post just to say they love their phone, or their phone has no issue? Probably never, since when you are satisfied with the device, you never really post it. But when you encounter even the tiniest issue on your device, your tendency is to post it. So, in the end, you only see the negative posts. - How many negative posts you've seen? Maybe around 10, or 20 max? Even if it is 100 posted issues really (I doubt though that it's that many). Now, think how many millions of units has been sold? What is the percentage of those issues compared to the total units sold? It's miniscule. - Is there any difference on TOG 5/s situation compared to other flagship devices out there? It's the same thing even for iPhones or Samsung or Oneplus or any other brand. There's also around 10-20 issue posted somewhere. If it is the same anywhere, and you have these doubts, you basically won't buy any device anymore.

I aslo experience auto shutdowns of apps in OneUI from time to time. And it does not allow second space to all apps as well

I can't speak for both phones as I don't own any of them. But you're not wrong in the 888 heat. They are bearable but it does consume more battery than usual. My ROG 5 (not S) feels just like 4k to 4.5k mAh because of that (instead of its actual 6k mAh). Also, as a rule of thumb, I'd always go with the latest chip for future proofing, and newer chips are way more power efficient.

No matter what brand or model of phone, you will always see negative comments. That's because people will immediately post an issue on their device to ask for help. While people who enjoys and are satisfied with their phone will not post anything. So ita normal to see negative things about the phone. But if you think about it, take note how many have issues with rog 5, then compare that to how many MILLIONS of units they sold. You'll realize that the issues is only but a tiny fraction. Also, since this is a gaming phone, many of them experiment in installing new ROMs and mods, which usually is the cause of issue. Many also buy the cheaper China version then replace the ROM with global. And many other user-inflicted issues

If you need to do that... it just proves that there's a problem in how the phone handles the battery efficiency. That's my whole point. BUT... just to be clear, I am not saying that ROG5 battery is trash. I was just expecting more. I came from OP7TPro with 4k mAh before switching to ROG5. Thus the expectation for longer batt life. Snapdragon 888 is a GARBAGE since it was fabbed by Samsung. Power efficiency is really useless. Better choose 865/8+ Gen 1/Media 9000+. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

It only matters if you actually game somewhere besides home though. Suits alot of peoples use. Is cheap. 8gb ram. I mean theres one for 500AUD near me. You'd struggle to get a better spec'd phone for cheaper.
