Not sure if it’s just me, but both that and using the Armory Crate tool to toggle this didn’t work. Might just be a bug? Regardless, super odd for this to not at least ship with a quick start up guide explaining this. I’m sure lots of people want to quickly set this up without external peripherals and might not be able to figure out these shortcuts.

That didn't do anything on mine during initial setup.

This is more of a Microsoft problem, but yes. Asus should’ve included step by step instructions for users. This was very helpful. Thank you sir.

Glad it helped. You’re right, it’s mostly a Windows 11 issue. ASUS is well aware of the setup process for the Ally, and could have included at least a quick setup guide in the box to make things easier for users. For being a handheld device -first- , it's not a great start to the consumer’s experience.

Just press and hold Up dpad and M2. Keyboard pops up

I can’t even get mine to find me WiFi. Just stuck on the WiFi screen.

Damn I saw this video 2 days late I hated this. My keyboard doesn't open automatically never. I was getting by pressing the two back buttons and the dpad it doesn't open AT ALL. I ended up connecting it to my dock. When I'm on the desktop I had to add the touch keyboard to the task bar. The steamdeck was no better I have hundreds of hours on it. To this day using the desktop mode to get things done is frustrating because of steam it drops the inputs randomly even if you've been using the desktop mode for awhile. On the steamdeck it's always messing up and I usually have to press the steam button ay the same order to use inputs.
