Great video! I'm definitely going to be looking to do this with my Ally. I'm not use to PC gaming like I am with consoles. But I did play PC games.

problem is custom fan curve, you have to make 3 yourself, Silent custom , custom performance, custom turbo with the fan curve , i wished they would just allow u to adjust fan curve per standard mode

Thanks man! Im new to pc i have been on console for over 30 years. Alot to learn. Im loving it though. My ally is running excellent. Im having one issue though after i upgraded ssd and did a fresh install my pop up keyboard stopped working if click on a text box. It says its enabled and i can manually pull up my on screen keyboard but it just doesn't pop up if i click on a box. Any ideas? Kinda driving me nuts and i cant find any way to fix it.

Sounds like an in game control issue. Jump in the rog ally discord. Share what is happening and in what game

One thing I can't find answers for? Everyone says keep Asus plugged in but the charger part. Where the brick is gets very hot! Is this normal? I'm hearing people saying they have it plugged in all day?

I leave mine plugged in 95% of the time. Yes the power brick pulls 65w from the wall and they get hot. It’s pulling about what some laptops pull so heat will be there and that’s normal. One mod you can do it attach maybe a small hearsink and fan to it to prolong the life but yep it normal.

Any suggested profiles for a higher tdp? Like let’s say above 20. This 18 is a perfect profile I use for most of my games, but I’m wondering if you use a separate one over 20 watts

Ally definately needs more RAM. With Windows 11 and modern AAA games all the RAM gets eaten up quick.

I still she the windows antivirus working and can run scans and do active scans. I haven’t disabled it I just don’t have an icon for it

You have to and open up the amd app not the amory crate. There’s a bonus tip at the end of my latest video that shows you where. Or check out one of my older fan curve videos

But is it safe to customise the fangs etc?? Armory is warning us. I dont wanna lose the warranty.

Customize what ? You won’t loose warranty for anything you do in software at all

@@cppctek customize the fan curve and tdp. They say if you damage your hardware because of that then you lose warranty. That shit pops on when you try to apply your manual fan curve etc.

No no not at all. They put that software for us to use and even demo it all the time lol bro they void warranty if you modify the hardware. This is controlling the fans with the software ASUS GAVE US WITH THE DEVICE. Using asus software does not void warranty. Also you can not kill the fans like you think either.

Depended on the game but mostly I noticed a big improvement on the 1% lows. Fps feels smoother when you have better 1% lows. The huge dips in fps are what causes a lot of the lag and stutter felt in games

@Makeouthill1767 setting for custom are on 25w manual or 30w manual. Turbo mode is just default stock settings so when you toggle the diff modes make sure it says manual if you want your stock profiles loaded. It’s physically impossible to over write the stock turbo profiles just because it’s better to have two options

That's why the steam deck os is better but, still enjoying this product while gaming.
